Fantastic place. 200 year old stonehpuse overlooking the campbeltown bay and only 8 minutes walk from the small charmig town center! Do not bother to look for a restaurant in the town because the best food is at the Craigard house, the food is super, super! The owners Lori and Roger and the Staff are very friendly! If you play...

We stayed at the Craigard House Hotel for three nights two weeks ago. Our room was big and overlooked the loch, the bathroom was huge, very clean with nice fluffy towels. I understand the owners 21 years ago rescued this lovely old house from disrepair and neglect, and have been working on it ever since. We loved the rooms with...

We were on holiday in the area and had dinner here one night. The hotel is an old building, full of character with excellent views over Campbeltown loch. The meals were very good, using local produce. Would definitely return. Cannot comment on rooms or breakfast but the hotel appeared to be fully booked.

I am writing this review so you can avoid the awful situation I found myself in on Saturday afternoon. In November 2016, my wife searched google after friends recommended the Craigard Hotel in Barra, the first hit that came up was the Craigard House Hotel and in good faith my wife secured 2 double rooms through Booking.com for our overnight...

Lori S, Owner at Craigard House Hotel, responded to this review

Mr Thomson has made rather a lot of errors, both in booking and in this response. Firstly, the booking from Mr and Mrs Thomson (for two double rooms) was made in November 2016. The cancellation came on the same afternoon that they were due to arrive. That means that this booking prevented other guests from making reservations in our hotel...

The b&b needs a good redecorating. Frayed and worn carpets, slight hole in the wall, the lighting really isn't good at all essgery dark, good hosts but would have liked more of a welcome. Grouting in bathroom needs redone as well and the room was stone cold when we got in and after a long 4 hours drive we were...

Nice quirky hotel in an old building full of character and heritage. As you would expect in such an old building many things are not quite right but if you take it for what it is you can have a pleasant stay here. Suggest you have dinner here also, the food was great and a good range of the local...

I was undecided about whether to award Craigard house three or four stars. The hotel has obviously seen better days; my room was clean and comfortable but obviously in need of redecoration and attention to the fixtures and fittings. The four stars were given mainly on the basis of the quality of the food in the restaurant. Both dinner and...

I stayed at the Craigard House twice in a month in September/October of 2016. The first room I had included a panoramic view of the harbor and Campbletown across the water. Four poster bed with water tea coffee and snacks. Sitting area and dining table. Separate private shower and bath with heated towel rack. I was basically stuck there for...

Excellent location overlooking the Campbeltown Loch, very pleasant staff and a great welcome. The food is superb, local Loch Fyne fish and an excellent a la carte menu. Rooms very comfortable. Price very good value for money.
