This terrific hotel offers wonderful meals and an amazing bar area. We had not stayed here for a while but had a superb overnight stay in room 6. Great view and spacious room with living area. Thanks to all terrific staff!

Friendly in all ways; in the bar, at breakfast, getting a room. Décor is fresh and the room was as good as you would want. It has a lovely garden area for having a drink outside. Close to all amenities in the centre. The food and drinks are top class and reasonable

Probably the nicest hotel in Campbeltown, which has recently been refurbished. Very nice well stocked bar and tastefully refurbished restaurant with a good menu selection. Rooms are small, but have everything necessary for a few nights stay. Good breakfast selection. Wi Fi is available, but was flaky during my stay. There is a grassed beer garden area to the rear...

This hotel has recently undergone a makeover and is looking very smart. Lots of tartan in the entrance hall and bar. Bar has a huge range of whiskies so make sure you have a designated driver with you. We had the tea-time special. For £12-95 you get a choice of main courses. Fish and chips, macaroni cheese and chips, chicken...

I had an overnight in this hotel, the room was brights and clean, the staff allowed me to book in early which allowed me time in the afternoon to visit a Distillery. I didn't have an evening meal but the breakfast had good quality ingredients perfectly cooked. The bar was stocked by the best whisky selection that I've ever seen....

Stayed here on Saturday 25th March 2017 for one night. Campbeltown seemed to be busy as there wasn't much availability in other hotels/B&Bs. Anyway we weren't disappointed with the Ardshiel. It was a great wee hotel. We were in a front room which appeared to have just been renovated (£110 per night for both of us). The bar is really...

Just had lunch here and it was lovely. Greek salad with chips and soup and a sandwich, so very simple but really tasty and very nicely presented. Staff were friendly and the decor was very nice. They also have a wonderful selection of malt whiskies 😁

We stopped by here for lunch while on a motor tour of the peninsula, on the day of 'hurricane Doris'. We did not spend a night there, so this review is only about the restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, unlike the weather, and the food was excellent. We had the smoked haddock and the hot smoked salmon from...

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights while walking the Kintyre Way so it was effectively our base. This was my second stay at the hotel and it had been nicely refurbished since my first stay in 2009. We were very well looked after by Marion and her team with welcome little touches like fresh milk in the...
