Comfortable enough, but needs work and cleaning - which means some cash spending on it Could be really good Noisy room (33) due to doors slamming, locks poor, rust on radiators/heater Bed comfy enough, although room too warm Heater suggested I adjust the temp on thermostat on wall - there wasn't one!! Shower and TV worked OK

Booked this as a birthday treat, arrival to the hotel as expected, booked the merchants room for a birthday treat, room was in a kind of rustic chic design which was ok but the cleanliness was far from acceptable, large cobwebs hanging from the cornice of the ceilings and above any furniture, if this was the attention to cleanliness then...

We love to stay at the George - it is quirky, atmospheric and has great service. Our room though great could have done with a little sprucing up and a good clean. It was starting to look a little grubby. The bed also creaked very badly everytime you turned over and woke everyone. We also found some old food (packets...

Had a few too many refreshments and has to spend the afternoon wandering around the very unique village before driving home. A few of the locals said we were suffering from a...

Enjoyed a two night stay here in early Sept 16. Inveraray is a charming place and this hotel is a real gem. Had breakfast twice and evening meal on both nights and the food was excellent. The cocktail bar is absolutely stunning and has a fantastic selection of draught beers and whiskeys. Very friendly staff.

We've stayed at the George a number of times over the years and have always had a pleasant stay. Just a couple of things this time left us a little disappointed. Our room was in the First House, nicely furnished with lovely views to the loch. However the bed had a white quilted throw on it, which appeared a little...

We stayed at The George hotel for one night in October. My boyfriend had stayed previously with his work and I had been for dinner but never stayed. We were booked into the Library room which was out of this world! It's not a room it's more like a suite! We stayed on a Sunday night and there was a...
