Just back from a trip to Alexandra Hotel in Oban, firstly Oban is a beautiful place and the hotels itself is fine and I must say the staff are lovely BUT the manager is not a very approachable lady and even the staff seemed VERY on edge which made the whole experience very uncomfortable. You MUST sanitize your hands when entering...

This is a strange review because it was actually my parents who stayed here, and they loved it, the food was great, the trips good value, and the entertainment was good. I was staying at another hotel a few doors down but was allowed to spend the evening with my parents, as they enjoyed the entertainment there. And were staying...

Enjoyed last week's turkey and tincel holiday .... the only downside was the bus driver we had was pretty flat .not sure why but when I came to ben doran in Sept he was a lot better with a Moor friendly approach which we enjoyed a lot.

We went on a Turkey and Tinsel tour with Highland Heritage which was tremendous value and great fun. As others have said, there are a couple of downsides, doors are locked at 11.45 and there’s no wifi in the bedrooms, but apart from that, we really enjoyed our trip (and weren’t up at 11.45 to get locked out!) Our room,...

The view is what saved this hotel. The staff are so busy they cannot find time to speak and chat. The receptionist is not available all the time and no telephone in room. No night porter!. Food is ok and it is hot. limited choice but ok. Trips out were amamzing and our Driver was very good with local tales...

The hotel has a great view across the water. The coach driver was foreign so it took a few days to get the gist of what he was saying. Nevertheless he was a good driver, helpful, friendly and obliging. Unfortunately the coach did not have a toilet and the holidaymakers were mainly senior citizens. The hotel could do with an...

We stayed in this hotel as part of a coach trip holiday but rooms are also available for other guests. The Hotel itself was spacious and clean and well laid out. We stayed in a room overlooking the port so had beautiful views. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The food was limited but there was a different menu...

The hotel is in a stunning location. However the hotel itself is dated. We were on a Highland Heritage holiday and after spending 11 hours travelling were not in a position to complain. We were treated as though on a school trip, we had to line up outside the dining room to use hand sanitiser before being let in to...

This hotel run by Highland Heritage Holidays has a faded elegance but run like an Army camp. The Hotel Staff are wonderful, the manager is an absolute star but the owner is like an Army general. The hotel is run on military lines by order of the owner. Everyone eats at the same time or don,t get fed, its served...
