Excellent hotel although up a steep road. Room overlooking view of sea and mountains. Really good breakfast. Would have liked a Separate lounge to relax in. There was a terrace but weather needed to be warmer to sit out.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Our Guest lounge is next door to the dining room , sadly the terrace had very little use this week due to terrible weather in Scotland!

Great B&B both Val and Alan were very helpful, from carrying my bag up the stairs to offering things to do and see. The room was spacious, beds comfortable and the linen was great. The shower had the right pressure and the towels were thick. The B&B is a short walk to the town Center and tourist start of places....

Thornton Guest House is an absolutely lovely place to stay. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the house is very welcoming. We were greeted very fondly by Val on arrival and made to feel very welcome. The location to the main centre of Oban is excellent with off street parking provided. The views are stunning!! My husband and I stayed at the Thornloe in July 2016 and LOVED it! Our room (#2) had a fantastic view with two chairs and a table handy so we could sit and enjoy the sights. The room was spacious and the bathroom was good sized. Our hosts were very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this lovely inn!

A great location both for the view and walking to the centre of town. The outside patio and parking were both appreciated. Our room had a glorious view of the harbour. The bed was very comfortable with nice bed linens and the shower had thick towels. The breakfasts were delicious and generous. The owners pay attention to details.

We had gone to Oban for a weekend with our son and his partner who were staying at the Thornloe while we were at other accommodation. When we saw their gorgeous room with stunning views to Mull and Oban Bay we decided to book two extra nights in that particular room once our family vacated (6 I think, it was...

Room 6 - stunning sea views. A really warm and welcoming B & B - large room, well equipped - loads of storage space, power-points etc and with a selection of local toiletries!! Excellent breakfast - again local produce and loads of it. Beautiful outside seating area. All in a real pleasure to stay here and good value for money.

When Val was opening on our room we could not stop stunning about the amazing view. The house is on the hill side and you can see all over the bay. Our room was big and light. We had to fill out a menu for your breakfast one day in advance. There was smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, english breakfast...

This was our first stay at Thornloe but hopefully not our last. Lovely, comfortable home from home. Fantastic location within the town and yet quiet and with amazing views. Thoughtful touches in the rooms that make all the difference, lovely breakfast and welcoming hosts. We definitely hope to stay again.

This has been our second stay at Thornloe Guest House...and it won't be our last. Stunning views from the bedroom, a large very comfy bed. Beautiful cooked breakfast & attentive hosts. Just brilliant! Only a couple of minutes walk down to the main street, which is a bonus!
