Stayed here for one night, and payed £70, for one person in a double room ( smallest double I have ever seen) Room was dated, with fluorescent lighting, not welcoming. Shower room was tiny, I could sit on the loo, and knees touched the wall, and shoulders the other wall. Toilet seat fell off, sink had no plug, and was...

Clean room, ground floor access, friendly welcome. Good value for the price and good breakfast. One small suggestion : somewhere to put the soap while using the shower ! Great view of the river from our room.

I am sorry to say I was a bit disappointed with the bridge guest house; I was under the impression that there was an onsite car park, but it only holds two cars and it's just for disabled, or a motor cycle, so you have to park in a public car park a few minutes' walk away over the bridge....

Many plusses: the price is one, the central location another. However, its real selling point is the view from the breakfast tables. The dining room (Sonia's Bistro) has a wall sized window, with a glorious view of the Teviot river and the suspension bridge. I felt like the water was flowing past my ankles! Rooms are clean but very basic,...

We were a little disappointed that there was very little parking down a lane next to the guest house. We were advised that there was free parking in a carpark not far away. This, we thought, was a little inconvenient as we have two large suitcases to drag back to the Guest House. Our host, Sonja, offered to move her...

We were staying over in Hawick for the week and had spotted this guest house on a previous visit to the town. Had decided to pay the little extra for a larger room with balcony. We were shown to room 10, which was huge by guest house standards. The bathroom had a double size shower which was a real bonus....

A very disappointing stay at Hawick Lovely welcome, but that's it. Checked in - in what I would call a very messy office in a cupboard. Room tiny. Booked a double room, the bed is only a 4 foot double, and shower was only big enough to stand in. As places this weekend are sparse we decided to stay and...

We travelled down from Edinburgh and stopped in at Hawick looking for somewhere to stay the night. As we came across the Triviot River bridge we saw the signage for the River House Guest House. The business is run by Sonia who also runs Sonia's Cafe and Bistro. We were fortunate to get a room for the night. Clean, tidy...

We stayed for one night. We had not booked ahead, so we're fortunate to get a room since their was a festival on. The guest house is in a great location. They do have parking but there is a city lot very close that is free. The owner was very helpful with suggestions for supper. The breakfast in the morning...
