We had a very nice overnight stay to break up our journey from England to Scotland. We had booked an accessible room as my husband and myself have mobility difficulties. The room was very spacious as was the shower room which was actually a wet room. Our room was upstairs but as there was a lift this was fine. We...

Location : Great ! A minute's walk from the centre of town. Room (#3) : Excellent ! A nice big room, bay window, comfy/cozy bed, large en-suite. Staff : Excellent ! Young, friendly, hard working, but could do with more at peak times, especially behind the bar. Food : Evening was OK (it's Wetherspoon's). The full Scottish breakfast was a...

We have been to a good few Wetherspoons in Scotland and this is by far one of the best. Clean, friendly staff, food good, and drinks as good as always. The young girl on the bar, serving food and clearing tables, worked her butt off when we were there and still had time to answer our questions and have a...

Looking for a cheap and cheerful meal on a weekend break. You know what you're getting at Wotherspoons however we were very pleasantly surprised on our visit. The meal was much better than ok, it was extremely good. It's been a while since we've been at a Wotherspoons so either they're much better now or this particular restaurant just has...

We had a nice stay at the Cross Keys Hotel, the hotel room was rather small but comfortable and clean and modern walk-in shower. It is well located in the centre of Peebles and good for looking at the nice little shops also there are many walks from the centre along the river Tweed.

Of an evening this is a great place to eat and unwind. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for during the day. I called into the Keys for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and on both days customers were forced to put up with tables of inconsiderate parents who thought nothing wrong in letting their screaming spawn run around the...

We went here quite late at night thinking that because it was a wetherspoons we could guarantee a reasonable meal. John had fish &chips and I had their chilli. My chilli was not too bad once I broke through the congealed crust, but my rice was cold. John's fish appeared to have been cooked at least 3 times it was...

Went in after work for some lunch with my partner and our 6 month old. I went up to the bar to order drinks and get some water to heat up my baby's food. Once I had got these I went up to the bar to order our food. We waited 45 mins for the food before I asked a...

Excellent value for money in the heart of Peebles. We stayed in room 3 a large room newly refurbished clean and modern. Breakfast is extra but good quality and again very reasonably priced. We will stay here again when gravelly from the Scottish highlands. A special mention to Martin who checked us in, he has excellent customer skills and was...

We stayed here for a couple of nights and were very well looked after. The bed was comfortable and the shower room superb. Very comfy pillows too. The street parking at the front of the hotel has restrictions so the nearest 24 hour parking is behind sainsburys which is a very short walk from the hotel. As you are right...
