Have just spent a wonderful weekend away in this delightful hotel. It has recently been restored after a major fire, so the interior is fully modernised. Bedrooms are bright with views along the valley. The bar serves draught ales on hand pump, and the spacious lounges are also welcoming. Good food is served in the bar or the lounges, and...

Spent a excellent couple of nights staying at the Gordon Arms, management and staff could not be more welcoming and friendly, a very cosy, warm and relaxing atmosphere. Would throughly recommend to anyone wishing to explore the borders region, handy for Selkirk, Hawick and Moffat, it's a walkers paradise and the weekend we stayed Scotland won their 6 nations match...

Just re-visited Gordon Arms post-fire and post initial refurbishment. Friendly. Warm (and needed to be with a biting easterly blowing up the valley during our stay). Spotless, very comfy recently "done-up" bedrooms. Food locally sourced, great value and superb as ever. A decent Borders brewed real ale on in the cosy bar. Great craic - especially during the Six Nations...

We only just arrived home from the Gordon Arms this evening. I can only say that this weekend has been one of the best we have had away in a long time. My wife, 8 yr old daughter and I stayed for 2 nights. We would happily have stayed for a month. The service was outstanding, the food fantastic and...

Just returned from a two night Wowcher deal. Cannot fault the very cosy Gordon Arms. We chose Room 1 (with a supplement) which had a Jacuzzi bath and four poster bed which was very comfortable. Room had amazing views. Everything was spotlessly clean. Food fresh and hot but the best things about the very relaxing two night stay were the...

A super little pub/restaurant that has a real "heart of the community" feel. Staff welcome you like they've known you for years and have a friendly and cheery manner. Food is good and hearty, perfect for after chilly walk in the Scottish countryside, and there are some great beers to go with it. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful New Year Eve with friends at this great pub. Ask the chef Tommy to tell you the tale that inspires him to create the Black Douglas Burger, delicious, as was the Haggis Blueberry Bonbon. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

Stayed here at the start of January with my boyfriend. Absolutely faultless stay for one night on a deal , straight away the staff there were so friendly and accommodating. The evening meal there was superb I tried haggis for first time with the famous gordon burger and I was converted, so much so I had it for breakfast. Room...
