Had a family meal there for 7 people. 2 of the meals had to be returned, food clearly re-heated. The roast potatoes were rock hard and brittle. The chips were fat soaked and like crisps. The beef was very tough and disappointing. A visit to to toilet told me everything I needed to know about how this place was run....

Very comfortable stay with a nice breakfast including perfectly poached eggs. But why did they refuse my request for boiled eggs? Also no bar snacks such as crisps or nuts. We left to have drinks and a packet of nuts in town. The hotel has lots of nice touches such as bottled water in room etc. Overall a clean friendly...

A Party of 8 of us went to the Caledonian Hotel for an Evening Meal following an Afternoon Matinee at the Cinema. Gosh were we impressed. The hotel is under "New Management" and its not just the name that has changed. I went there years ago and never went back, but now it is obvious that the new owners really...

Stopped here on way home. Pleasant staff. Comfortable family room. Slept well. Had evening meal in hotel, did not want to go out as weather had been bad. Could not fault the meal. Good size portions at reasonable prices. Breakfast was good.

Having been here before a change of ownership, and a few times after, I found the menu choice at lunch time as a set menu choice of 3 starters/3 mains a bit to limited. On going onto the larger menu a lager selection was balanced with classics, and also some different options also. The fish and chips while well cooked,...

went to my nephews weeding here recently. The staff were great and the food was fine for a weeding. The interior of the building could do with a a bit of modernising and money putting into it. The breakfast was ok - could do with a bit better quality meat and timings were a bit off for the buffet running...

I was travelling from Belfast to the south of England, via Cairnryan. I was only arriving into Cairnryan at approx 10.00pm. This hotel closes at 11pm, but the owner rang me to say that they'd wait for me to get there. I got delayed more than I thought I would and after a few wrong turns I eventually found the...
