We stayed here as we were attending a wedding at nearby Auchin Castle. We stayed in the family room, which was clean, with very comfortable beds ( so much so, my wife contacted them,to find out where they got them from) Great breakfast served in the morning included. Very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend.

Booked the family room after being invited to a wedding at Auchen Castle. The staff very helpfully arranged a taxi for us to get to the Castle. We arrived back at the Hotel after midnight, but they had given us a key to the main door so we didn't have to disturb anyone else so late. The Family room itself...

Stay in a piece of Scottish history and record holder. The hotel is clean and friendly, but as its the narrowest hotel in the world do not expect large rooms. Parking is free and if your lucky you can park outside the hotel. Moffat is a bust friendly place to stay and hotels get booked up quickly when there is...

Moffatt is a very good place to stay as a halfway point if you are going to northern Scotland and it is only just off the motorway. This hotel states it is the narrowest hotel in the UK and they must be right. The building is very quirky. The parking is out on the road but we had no trouble...

Friendly staff, good food, reasonable prices. Variety of choice on menu. Good service. Lounge bar and dining room. .... And The Narrowest detached Hotel in the World as recognised in the Guinness book of world records.

Stayed overnight en route to the Highlands, the welcoming was warm and friendly and the rooms spotlessly clean, and well decorated. The provision of bottled water in the room was a welcome addition in a hotel so reasonably priced. Had an evening meal in the bar, that was very good and substantial, you'll need a very healthy appetite if you're...

We arrived at 1130 pm the staff member was friendly enough but having to walk in to a pub and get starred at by a older group of people as if we where a freak show was not a welcoming experience. The room itself was good and practically no noise from the bar below. The breakfast was good (but a...

We have been to the Star Hotel on several occasions over the years, usually at lunchtimes for a bite to eat and a drink. This review is based on those visits only and I cannot comment on the the other facilities. This hotel is in the Guiness Book of Records and identified as the "Worlds Narrowest Hotel". There is accommodation...

Last minute stop over to break up long journey. Welcoming staff and lovely atmosphere. Room comfy and quiet. Could do with a bit of updating, but a good nights sleep was had. Not sure if it would have felt as comfy if I was staying more than one night. Dog friendly as well, which is a plus for any hotel.
