We stayed here during visit to Dundee to catch up with friends. We were staying at different hotels over 6 days and this hotel was by far our favourite. We arrived early from our previous hotel as we wanted to be sure if getting parked. We decided to have coffee whilst we were there and were served by Inga, she was lovely and very pleasant and spoke away to us. This was a great first impression of the hotel. We received a email whilst out that our room was ready and checked in via the app on the phone which was a great idea, you can also pick your room too on this. We were greeted by lovely views from the window on the 5th floor and 2 double beds. Before and after the other places we stayed he had a sofa bed so this was great. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was amazing, what a lovely shower. Room was spotless especially with everything at the moment. We went down for dinner and we are still talking about it. The food was amazing, the fish and chips and the burger did not disappoint. We were served by Inga again and she took a second look when she seen us again as we were at same table as we had our coffee earlier. Inga and Liana were lovely and a pleasure to talk to. Although the way things are at the moment this was the only hotel we stayed at that felt normal, people about in lounge sitting around as other places we stayed at were deserted. We went for breakfast in the morning and were shown to our table by Graeme. As I was waiting for breakfast in queue people seemed to be forgetting the one way and also getting too close. The person serving breakfast was quick to tell them the rule re distance pretty quick so well done. Breakfast again was lovely with hot buffet and plenty of choice, and we had a lovely chat with Graeme as he was clearing the tables. He did however mention he was the Finance Manager but during these times was helping with the breakfasts in the morning. The only thing that was wrong with our room were the beds were really comfy and we said that wasn't a moan as the rest of the stay was great, we mentioned this in chatting to Graeme and he assured us to mention in check out so maintenance can have a look at it, as if they don't know there is a problem they can't fix it. We mentioned this at check out and Graeme just happened to be close to the desk when we reported it. We were given our ticket to exit the carpark and like a few before us had problems getting barrier to lift. You only need to press the button if the code does not scan. Before we got a chance to do this Graeme appeared at our window and assisted with the barrier, I might add with a coffee in his hand. He had seen us drive away and ran out to ensure that we were able to get the barrier to lift. What a great visit, friendly staff and it was a pleasure to meet and chat to Graeme, what a valuable member of staff. We would not hesitate to return to this hotel as our first choice if back in Dundee.…
Stayed here for 4 nights. Hotel is very central and ideal for visiting the local attractions. Room was well appointed and very comfortable. Nice shower. No housekeeping service during our stay due to co-vid but we could ask for anything if we required it. Unfortunately the restaurant was also closed due the co-vid situation but the staff were able to provide a basic menu at night. Good but limited choice at breakfast. No issues with parking at the hotel but that may have been because it wasn't busy. They do have an overspill carpark but we never had to use it. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again
Myself and my partner are just back from a long weekend. Our wedding day was postponed so decided rather than sit at home we would go somewhere, anywhere just to get away. We could not have chosen a better hotel in a better area to spend our non wedding weekendand the staff absolutely amazing. Something happened that I won't go into as it has nothing at all to do with the hotel or the running of it but the 2 ladies on reception were absolutely amazing, an asset to the hotel. I think we will make a yearly visit here. Thank you so much for everything
We stayed as a family of 4 and can highly recommend. Very central. Parking on site. The room was spotless. Must book for breakfast to avoid overcrowding and felt well organised. Staff serving breakfast are super! Very attentive and go the extra mile, crisping bacon and heating croissants! Reception staff were also excellent. Hotel is very modern and clean.
