Ate in the dining room with a friend who was staying the night. Very impressed with my experience. The dining room itself was very inviting with comfortable seating and a city view. The menu had a good selection and the food was very reasonably priced, as were the drinks. I had the club sandwich and my friend chose the fish cakes. Food arrived in good time and was obviously freshly cooked. I will definitely be back.

The hotel room was fantastic had a great Veiw over the water it was lovely and clean really warm room breakfast was delicious buffet style would definitely recommend it had room 39 which is on the fourth floor it has lifts also a restaurant and bar on the second floor

New, spotlessly clean, friendly and very good value. Big rooms, nicely maintained. As good a budget chain hotel as I've ever stayed in. Location is exceptional too, right by the railway station (and a Tesco Metro), over the road from the stunning V&A, and just a couple of minutes' walk from the city centre. Oh, and there are buses to places like (the lovely but wildly overpriced) St Andrews from right outside. Buffet breakfast was reasonable, but great for the price.

What a great place to stay. It's right next to the station and handy for several visitor attractions. They have an excellent security system which means no-one without a key can access the rooms. Also a very good breakfast!

Stayed here recently, positives …….. the staff were really friendly and professional with Check in and out very easy. Bed was comfortable and the room was basic but clean. Now for the negatives ……. Breakfast is up there with one of the worst I have had. The hot food was floating in grease, the scrambled egg was obviously microwaved and tasteless. The baked beans were ok as was the tea but you can’t go wrong there surely. If I stay here again i will go somewhere else for breakfast. But you only get what you pay for! I gave two stars for the staff and one for the bedroom.

Fantastic value, fantastic location, helpful staff, lovely wheelchair accessible room. Loved our stay, only downside for us was the soft pillows but that's only because we like firm pillows. Other hotels have firmer pillows available in room.

Fantastic hotel in an excellent location. Right outside train station and 2 mins from the centre. Lovely modern rooms, I was lucky to have a river view. Comfy beds and excellent shower, spotless and nice temperature. Close to all the attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was buffet style, with other choices. I ate in the evening and the food was good. I would highly recommend, have already booked to go back

I love the hotel very much always 10/10 but this visit was a bit disappointing. My husband struggles a bit with food and just felt like soup and sandwiches only to be told only panni .I'm puzzledbig hotel and cannot do a simple cheese and tomato sandwich

Just an overnight stop over but this hotel far exceeded my expectations. It has everything you need in a hotel room and was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent but, above all, staff were outstanding. Charming, knowledgable and extremely helpful. A wonderful experience all round and great value for money. Thank you.

Stayed 1 night while visiting the theatre. The hotel is very central & situated right above Dundee train station. We booked directly with the hotel about 4 weeks in advance and got a very good deal as part of an Easter promotion. I’d looked on a generic booking site and prices were very expensive which I thought odd for a Sunday night. As it turned out it was Dundee Dance Event and the city was hooching with young people and lots of bars pumping out dance music. The city had quite a buzz about it. We arrived about 1pm not expecting our room to be ready. However we got our room key straight away. Our room was on the fifth floor over looking the railway station with a view of the Tay rail bride and a view over to Fife. The rooms was large with everything you’d expect. Desk, chair bedside tables, hairdryer & tea/coffee facilities. The windows appeared to be triple glazed and there was no noise from outside. The room was very clean & tidy. The bathroom was the biggest but there was room to di what was needed. There was a small round sink a shelf for bits & bobs and a spacious walk in rainfall shower (with a small step) Soap & shower gel was supplied. The hot water was hot & plentiful. The room had air conditioning and kept the room nice & cool. Breakfast wasn’t included in our rate. However we took the opportunity to book breakfast for the Sunday. They ask you to select a time for breakfast. I found this worked well as a Sunday can be bedlam after 9/9.30 with the whole hotel turning up expecting breakfast at the same time. Breakfast was very good. Plenty choice. Cereal, cold meats, fruit, yoghurt. The usual hot food. Sausage, bacon, hash browns, tomato & baked beans. There was also bread to toast and mini pastries along with tea/coffee and apple juice or OJ. All the staff were very friendly. On check in there were a few in front of us and with only two staff checking in it did take a little while to get checked in. However as I said all staff were friendly and said hello when they saw you (even the chambermaids. In the evening from 11pm the front doors are locked and when we stayed there we’re taking names & checking against the hotel register. You also needed to tap your room key to access floor with accommodation. …
