I have never written a review before. However, I feel compelled to warn others. I would not call this a hotel. It is more like a low end hostel. Me and my partner were in Dundee to visit friends. We arrived around 4 o'clock. There was no one at reception (if you can call it that). Just a piece of... More

The room was huge and freshly cleaned. Friendly staff. For the price its definitely worth it. The city centre is 5 minute with a bus. Stayed for 2 nights, we got fresh towels and room service, every day.

My partner and I turned up to book in about 3pm to be told (eventually as no one was at reception) that we were too early and the room wouldn't be ready until 4pm. We left our bag and headed into town to catch an exhibition and for dinner then received a phone call at 7pm asking when we were... More

Bad experience. Dated and dirty. Don't know what the other rooms are like but mine was bad. Room 4. Walls were filthy. They haven't seen fresh paint for many months. Scuff marks and finger prints abound. The bedroom: No tv and not 1 socket. By the time I got back from work, my phone was low in power. Not enough... More

We booked (and paid for) bed and breakfast for a one night stop over in advance, and ordered a meal in the restaurant when we arrived. Free Parking available in front of the hotel, but entrance a bit difficult to find if you are unfamiliar with the area,(it's just up the side road). Main road busy but on a bus... More

We stayed one night at the Dundee Carlton last summer, and it was much better than we've read in the guestbook/online. Maybe the others stayed in the old part of the hotel, we were staying in the new rooms. And we had no complaints! Friendly host and next to a crazy good Indian food restaurant (great food, rather than cozy).... More
