I stayed at Duntrune during a three-day detox retreat, and found hospitality and caring that was second to none. Olwyn and Barrie provided the perfect balance of unobtrusive care, from delivering my 'breakfast' juices to my room so that I did not have to sit in the dining room with other guests who were enjoying a full cooked breakfast, to...

We stayed as a family at Duntrune House, and felt like it was a home from home. The house is beautiful and the grounds are great for a leisurely walk or for children to burn of some energy. With a great choice of breakfast items and excellent service, this is a great place to stay in a lovely part of...

A fantastic house with stunning views made exceptional by the perfect hosts Barrie & Olwyn. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights with our son and grandson. A grand characterful house full of charm and comfy rooms. What made our stay so special was the hospitality and warmth of Barrie & Olwyn. Nothing would have been too much trouble,...

We thoroughly enjoyed a 5 night stay in July/Aug of 2014. Duntrune House is a charming 1820's country estate a few miles NE of Dundee, offering an isolated rural feel without having to drive far off the beaten path. Our hosts were simply fantastic--thoroughly welcoming and never unavailable and yet not intrusive in any way. Conversations were comfortable and unhurried....

I have stayed on 2 occasions at Duntrune while my daughter attended University of Dundee. The setting and the home are truly a piece of history. The hosts Barrie and Olwyn were the perfect gentile Scots who provided a delightful overall experience and went the extra mile to help! I would return in a heartbeat. It is a quiet oasis...

Our visit to Scotland for our 25th wedding anniversary was made all the more wonderful by our stay at Duntrune house. Not only are the grounds and house incredibly stunning, but our hosts Alwyn and Barry made us feel like welcome family! The kingsize bed was very comfortable, the rooms were beautiful and the food was amazing. (Barry even convinced...

I've been coming regularly for 5 years for business in Dundee and have never considered staying elsewhere. I am fussy about peace and quiet and love character and charm in a house and gardens. Duntrune House fits the bill 100%. When one arrives it is along a drive that immediately relaxes you and makes you feel that 'you are somewhere...

Spend 3 nights, 4 days at Duntrune House. Stunning house with spectacular views of Dundee and the estuary. The pictures really don't do it justice. I was greeted by the owners Barrie and Olwyn who were charming and friendly and couldn't do more to please. A thoroughly peaceful and relaxing stay. Will definitely be going back. Thank you.
