Although 18 James Square looks good in the photos, and the basic layout of the flat is good for staying with another family, we found our visit stomach-turning because of the state of the bathrooms. There was fluff and grime hanging from the ceiling, the floors were filthy and a lot of small maintenance jobs needed to be done throughout...

We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay in Edinburgh. As you can tell from all our other reviews, we pride ourselves on quality accommodation and service. A few responses to your concerns: - The bathrooms in apartment 18 have since been fully upgraded. - We never offer to collect guests from the airport - this must have been...

There were 5 of us staying 3 nights, up for the fringe festival. Although a bit out of town, really easy access on the buses, and the taxi from the city centre was about £5 to £6. Lots of pubs/restaurants nearby. The apartment was lovely and clean and even supplied with tea/coffee/milk/bread and butter etc, so no need to bring...

We had 9 people in flat 1 - probably too many as we couldn't fit round the dining table, and there were 6 of us sharing one small bathroom. Having said that, we had a great stay - the flat is in a perfect position - I can't understand the people who found it too far out. Walking to town...

A lovely spacious, yet homely apartment with all you need and more by way of facilities and service. Only tiny downside was that it is just a few hundred yards out of a comfortable walking distance for my Mum who stayed with us. But hey, the taxi into Princess Street cost a fiver and the cabbies were all so friendly.(...

Communication from the start was fantastic - I had car trouble so it affected the initial time we thought we would be but we got very clear instructions on how to get into the apartment. The apartments are a gem. They were beautifully presented. Clean. Spacious. And all the wee thoughtful extras made all the difference. We had a three...

The whole complex is nicely decorated, rooms are kinda small, Leisure area is often closed/ faulty (e.g. sauna not working), and the caretaker has acted very unkind and not professional towards us which affected our experience. Value is not great as there are much cheaper flats to be found in better areas of Edinburgh such as the New or the...

we stayed in two apartments 1 & 18 in James Square in Edinburgh on a hen weekend in april '10, we found the apartments spotlessly clean and very welcoming. The swimming pool was a welcome treat the next day after a night out. The only slight problem we had was the toilet made a really loud noise every time it...

If you are looking for a place to stay in Edinburgh then these apartments are a MUST. Described as home from home and being told to 'travel light' is absolutely spot on! The apartments are in a large beautiful building are situated in about 10-15 mins walking distance from the main shopping area. The apartments are spacious and spotlessly clean....
