Lovely decor and a great attention to detail with all sorts of little touches that made our stay really enjoyable. Delicious traditional Scottish breakfasts: we especially enjoyed the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs! The owners love what they do and provide wonderful hospitality.

I really felt like being at home. The people were friendly, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast really delicious. Moreover, the guesthouse is well located, close to the old town of Edinburgh. I highly recommend this place.

Breakfast was carefully prepared evry morning according to our desire, Marion asked the day before what you wanted for breakfast. So, we...

Marion and Norrie made us most welcome on our recent stay in Edinburgh. The guest house is well positioned, with easy access to the city centre, and the Scottish breakfasts are superb. Highly recommended. We will return!

We enjoyed our recent stay at the Mcdonald Guest house. Our hosts welcomed us warmly and were very helpful. The room was not large but exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious and entertaining. The guest house is very secure and conveniently located. We will happily return.

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful stay in Edinburgh, made especially memorable by Marion and Norman, our kind and jovial hosts at the McDonald Guesthouse. They gave us a very warm welcome, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room (all bedrooms are on the ground floor) was comfortable and spotlessly clean. There's a...

Arrived in Edinburgh on June 17 after a long journey from Canada. We were meeting family for the first time, who live just outside of Edinburgh, and they drove us to McDOnald House. We were eager to eat some dinner so we checked in to the B&B and dropped our bags, but not without a warm welcome from Marion. The...
