My two friends and I absolutely loved our stay at the Gil Dun Guest House for New Year's Eve. Gerry and Bill took great care of us. The room was cosy and extremely clean. Breakfast was amazing and we didn't want to leave! There were many options and Gerry was so friendly and helpful with everything. The area is quiet...

My wife and I stayed at the Gil Dun for a week. We really enjoyed the host who was very helpful and friendly. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the Royal Mile or faster by car or bus but we liked to walk. There are decent restaurants within a 5-10 walk. The breakfast was also top-notch.

Good old-fashioned B+B, very clean, well maintained, good food, bed very comfortable, room not large (and bathroom tiny) but high ceiling and nice big window with net curtain, didn't feel cramped. Breakfast starts at eight am. I entered the breakfast room at five to eight and was asked to leave the room. Another couple sat down at the 'wrong' table...

Park your car and use the close by local bus system to visit the city. Dine at local pubs or restaurants. See the castle or visit The palace of Holyrood House where the...

Great place, with excellent services, in a good location. Personnel were very attentive and breakfast was delicious and presented well. Several good restaurants are nearby. Short cab ride or several busses to the Castle or Palace.

I stayed here for three nights in October and had a lovely experience. Gerry and Maggie took such care of me the entire time that it was difficult to leave. The breakfast was the best I had out of all of my hotels in Great Britain. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. Gerry recommended wondered restaurants and pubs just minutes...
