Great home just two blocks from bus stop and yet so quiet. Very interesting and walkable route thru a park and past many interesting stores on way to city centre. I started every day with porridge and a just out of the oven scone. Warm greeting from Angela when arrived. Awesome added value feature: business card with bus numbers on...

I've just got back from a weekend in Edinburgh, and had a wonderful stay. I would like to say a huge thank you to Alan & Angela, they were great hosts, nothing too much trouble for them. My room was a great size, with an additional seating area to watch tv in the evenings which I liked. Edinburgh is generally...

We had a fantastic two night stay. A lovely, warm welcome. Our room was very clean and well presented with the bathroom just across the corridor. Situated down a lovely, quiet road and a 30 minute walk from the city centre. It was perfect for our weekend stay. Breakfast choices were absolutely fantastic, freshly made and delicious. We would definitely...

Clean, comfortable, and a pleasure to stay in. Breakfast was great and didn't skimp, e.g good quality muesli and freshly baked scones. Angela and Alan were friendly and professional. I would definitely stay there again.

Me and my partner stayed in June 2013 for 1 night, for a short break away. We had the double room with en-suite toilet/shower, there were rooms which shared a bathroom also. The room was lovely, homely and quiet with tea/coffee facilities, flat screen little tv and free wifi which came in handy. The owners are a lovely couple who...

I stayed here in September as a solo female. The Vidler's were so kind to me, helping with travel directions and arranging a room for me at the last minute. The hotel itself is lovely. It's a bit outside the city but the walk into Edinburgh is great. I also liked the location because it's in a residential neighborhood and...

As a solo female traveller, I look at not just only the value for money and location, but also reviews written by like travellers. I stayed three nights and based my booking on all of the above, I was given a double room on the first floor with a shared bathroom, which was at the front of the house and...

We visited Edinburgh in August when the city was fully booked out. Rowan Guest House is a nice quiet place about 15 minutes away by bus from the city centre. The rooms were freshly renovated, the service was excellent and so was the breakfast. We had a great time though it was a little bit expensive. PS: Try the porridge!...
