The breakfast was included and consisted of an amazingly fresh fruit salad, muesli or porridge, full cooked breakfast, the finest I've ever tasted, washed down with tea that tasted of oranges. It was like staying in an art gallery and both hosts were helpful and friendly. It's convenient for a walk into town and just ask John if you're trying...

This was our first trip to Edinburgh and we weren't disappointed. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by John and Kozo. They very informative about where to go and what to do. We really like our room, spacious and cosy and all the interested items dotted around the house. We were really touched when coming back from Hogmanay they had...

4 years ago, my wife and I dropped our daughter at Uni in Edinburgh. I picked this place as it was close to her dorm. We returned again this year for her graduation from Uni and again we stayed at the Art House. John and Kozo greeted us as old friends. This time we brought our other daughter with us....

The picture on the web sites are very accurate, this house is full of collectable ceramics and art on the walls. They only rent out 3 rooms at a time in the house and there are no TVs in the rooms if that is what you like. It is as handy as they say to town, in fact I just...

Kozo and John were excellent hosts to myself and my parents. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was clean and serviceable, beds comfortable and the bathrooms excellent. No complaints about the food - the Scots breakfasts were tasty. I warn future guests to ensure the bathroom window is closed prior to use, otherwise...

The hosts are the sweetest ever. They prepare a delicious spread for breakfast. The house is quirky and delightful with so many collections that there's something interesting in every single square centimetre. It is well-connected with buses to the historical centre but it's also an easy 20mins walk with several interesting shops along the way.

I should have written this review long ago. I had an excellent stay at the Art House Morita B&B. The place is full of charm. Kozo and John were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. The B&B is a pleasant distance to stroll into the main tourist attractions. Above all though I appreciated how they went above...

I had such three wonderful days with Kozo and John who are so friendly and charming. The whole guess house is full of awesome artworks which have already achieved the level of any museum so that I was immersed in a passion toward art. Also, John is an amazing chef so that I had wonderful breakfasts and also tea time...

While I agree with most reviews that the B&B is charming, unusual, and very interesting with its extensive eclectic art collection, and that the hosts are gracious and personable, I felt it seriously lacked in certain basic points. The first is cleanliness. The whole house smells musty and is very dusty, including the bedrooms. There are cobwebs everywhere, and I...

We stayed at the Art-House Morita B&B in July. The B&B and its owners (2 men, Kozo and John), are a quirky couple. The B&B itself is like an Aladdin's Cave, filled with all sorts of ornaments, trinkets and art work. It seemed that almost every square inch of wall space was covered in some sort of painting, which came...

“Because its only 3 rooms you can pay by cash or PayPal. My top tip is that if you do want to book, contact them directly to get the best price (as then they don't pay the agents commission).”
