I was there for a week at the beginning of september: the location is quite close to the city center and in a quiet neighbourhood. Since few months there has been a new management: the staff is really kind and helpful. The hall and the rooms I lived were cozy, clean and with old-fashioned but nice forniture; comfortable beds but... More

I had a very nice stay here for 3 nights. Friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast menu, comfortable single room with ensuite bathroom and tv. Edinburgh city centre is just 15 minutes away by bus, which stops right outside the BnB. Wireless connection did not always work in my room but this did not detract from my overall satisfaction. Highly... More

Very welcoming with friendly staff, comfy beds and a great Scottish breakfast! We stayed here several times due to us relocating to Edinburgh. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Good location for seeing the sights in Edinburgh.

The best guest house ever. Sam, the owner couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were first class and served with a smile. Would highly recommend both the double room where I stayed for one night and particularly the Cottage where I stayed with my family. Would not hesitate to return on our next visit.

Had a fantastic stay at the guest house. Stayed in room 9, really comfy bed and a fantastic breakfast. You can roll out of the guesthouse onto the bus and takes no more than 15 minutes to get into the centre of Edinburgh. You can get to a fab Italian restaurant called Mia within a 15 minute walk (I could... More

Pleasant little guest house,in quiet location. The new owner Sam has just taken over and he is getting to grips with housekeeping etc. Room fine, beds very comfortable. Breakfast - quite a choice from the menu. Ideal location, bus stop just a few yards down the road, bus no's 10 and 27 take you into city centre. Recommended!

Couple managing guest room are very friendly and helpful. We had a superior double room which was basic and I didn't think worth the money. Good bathroom. TV and tea and coffee in room. Bedroom is on ground floor right next to dining room. In the morning it was noisy from early morning which wasn't good on a weekend. Breakfast... More

I loved martins b&b. Clean and cozy. An excellent breakfast. The owner is a very charming young fella. I highly recommend this b&b for short or long staying. It is twenty minutes walk from the castle. For lazy ones, the bus stop is just outside the door.
