The hostel has a great vibe and atmosphere. People working there were very friendly and made us feel at home. Everything is clean and the interior is actually really pretty. We loved the open kitchen. The wifi could have been a bit better.
Everything I needed for a vacation on a budget and in a perfect location. CUTEST little breakfast nook in the dining room. WiFi was good throughout the day, slowed down in the evenings when everyone was there. Plenty of character in the lobby. There was...More
I want to be as realistic as I can to address the exact right image of this hostel. I had the worst ever experience with a hostel I could ever imagine. First of all, instead of receiving a warm welcome by my early arrival at...More
I stayed in the hostel for a week. The room was comfortable and clean, they changed my linens every two days. The toilets were clean even after a busy day and they got great showers, where you have space enough to change without getting your...More
The hostel is well located in the downtown and checked in was fast & smooth. The room & bed are OK but the lockers are smaller. They ruled out no drinking or eating in the room but the guy staying inside the same room kept...More
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
Hi Hayley. Our breakfast is £1.90 and we do have gluten-free cereal as an option. There's a car park at the Travelodge Hotel around the corner and it is £15 for 24h. Hope this helps. Your High Street Hostel team.
