Great location, quality hotel with friendly staff and great food, particularly the breakfast which was exceptional! We stay here every year with friends when visiting the Christmas markets and we will definitely be doing so again next year, great value for money.

I highly recommend this hotel. Great bang for your buck. Very convenient for sight seeing in old town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Awesome breakfast. There were nine of us and we would all stay there again.

Great hotel with a great and helpful staff. Really well situated between the old town and the main shopping street. The food was excellent and the bar was good. Would have been nice though to get cocktails.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Jury's Inn. Since we were using rail, I wanted to stay by the station and avoid taxi prices. This hotel is five minutes from the station at most. You exit on market street, turn left and there is a little street that v's on the right, away from the main one.... More

Upon arrival we found a dirty sock on our sofa bed, a dirty toilet seat and human hair on the bathroom floor. To avoid fuss we cleaned these up ourselves but intended mentioning these things at checkout Upon checkout the receptionist was a little sharp to say the least when we failed to understand the left luggage procedure. She then... More

Booked The Jurys given their prestigious reputation in the past and also ideal location. We had a front room with a perfect view over Princes Street, Waverely Station and Calton Hill. Unfortunately there was road noise from early morning. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom was a little tired and dated and had an overbath shower which... More

Jury's inn is exactly what it says an average hotel. Unfortunately if you don't like train stations as for a room at the back as this one looks over Waverley station which is lite like daylight over night. Its interesting to watch the trains if you like that sort of thing.

I had heard good things about the Jury Inn before I had arrived so my expectoration were slightly high. I arrived at the hotel for about 13.50 and check in was at 14.00, I spoke with the lady at the front desk and gave my details over thinking we could just go to our rooms 10 minutes early (they won't... Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
