I don't even know where to start - Great location - clean, spacious, great kitchen, great views, very comfortable bed and pillows. Susan, the owner and Dave the manager were great with all my million questions - never annoyed at me. I loved it. I stayed on the second floor - the only comment I would have not positive is...

I found out about this beautiful place from a friend and stayed in Flat 2 for the first time two years ago, and I have to say this is the best self-catering apartment I have ever stayed in! In fact, I was surprised how spacious, beautiful, modern, and well appointed the flat was. The owners thought of every little detail...

The Flat is spacious, well furnished, clean and perfectly located for shops, train station, airport bus, restaurants and of course sights. Susan was extremely helpful and very kindly let us have a late checkout on our last day. I...

Have just returned from a 4 night stay in Flat 2, which was just perfect. Homely, very well furnished, spotlessly clean, well equiped with 5* standard bathrooms. The best attribute is of course its location. Loads of really good restaurants shops and bars right on the door step. Just push a chair up against the kitchen window and watch the...

We stayed on the first floor apartment - and the aprtment is great. Large, two great rooms, great living room area - nice large windows which let in lost of light. The apartment itself was impecably clean. We stayed in to cook meals - and the kitchen was fully equipped. It was especially nice to have salt, pepper, washing up...

We are Londoners , living in a house in the suburbs, enjoying all our creature comforts. We have never stayed in Edinburgh,or Scotland. We arrived by train, walked for 7 minutes and could not believe the central location of the flat-like being between Oxford St. and Bond St. , but far more civilised and quiet. You cannot have a better...

We stayed in apartment 2 at the beginning of September this year and were absolutely blown away by the experience. Not only is the apartment beautifully decorated with a wonderful eye for detail (even the books seemed carefully chosen to help plan our visit) but it is situated in probably the ideal tourist location, minutes away from the train station...

The apartment is well equipped, tastefully decorated and was very clean. It has 2 bathrooms, one bedroom with a queen size bed, a second bedroom with 2 single beds, full kitchen...

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighbourhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
