Our trip to Edinburgh was our Christmas present to ourselves and Edinburgh was somewhere we had not been before. My wife had always fancied going but we were not as impressed with the city as we were hoping to be. We visited Edinburgh Castle (very expensive I thought) but at least we have done it, went to an amazing tapas...

Thanks so much to Paul and Susan for a wonderful stay. We weren't in Edinburgh long, but we were made to feel so welcome and the house is gorgeous! Really wonderful. It's about a half an hour walk to the city centre, but there's a bus stop right outside. The Indian restaurant 100 yards away is amazing, and Paul's name...

I was very pleased with the accommodation and impressed by the breakfast. Best scrambled eggs I've tasted and a number of other fine dishes, including freshly made blueberry pancakes. And when I arrived the night before there was banana loaf waiting for me . . .

Despite a mix up with dates, Paul could not have been more helpful. Room was freshly decorated, with new mattress & bedding which meant a very good night's sleep. Bathrobes and free decanter of sherry! Wide selection of cereal, hot food and homemade pancakes & pastries -yum! Very good value, would stay there again.

Second time we have stayed at Barony House - first time was just chance through booking agency, second was because of the great time we had on first visit, and even better this time! Great location on main road for exploring the city and surrounding areas, but very quiet, and no traffic noise. Comfortable room and high quality, varied breakfast,...

It was '6 Nations Rugby' weekend and luckily we were able to attend, after all sorts of traumas, prior to our weekend arrival. My friend Andrew and I had stayed here some years ago, although I had been a frequent visitor, over many, many years, but in company with 'Bev'. I discovered the Barony had 'changed hands' last year, and...

Hey guys, Yes, we loved the surprise "pop-in" last year, it always makes us nervous when we have guests of the previous owners stay as i'm sure you guys would compare things. We are so relieved you enjoyed yourselves, it certainly was a fun weekend and we are glad you enjoyed the various changes and upgrades. Also a huge thank...
