Returned from a great Edinburgh break on 25th November, having stayed at the Salisbury for 3 nights. The reason for my trip was to visit an elderly relative and I chose this hotel because of its proximity to her address. I paid for a double room (Abbeyhill, lower ground level) but only because a single was unavailable on all of...

We chose the hotel as it was close to the Queen's Hall and Summerhall to attend the Scots Fiddle Festival. We have stayed before for the same event and find the hotel to be nice and clean the staff are all very friendly and helpful.

The Salisbury is located in a quiet area. It is a large Townhouse that is a perfect mix of a Historic and Modern setting. It is a good value for the money, kept in pristine condition, comfortable beds and great breakfast.

Beautiful boutique hotel, staff very friendly. Bed is super comfy, bathroom is huge, clean and modern! Room cleaned every day. About a 20 min walk to the city centre, would 100% recommend and stay again.

I attended a dinner here with approximately 40 other people. Although many of us had pre-ordered not everybody had, and yet the food (3 course meal) was delivered speedily and with great good humour. I require gluten-free food and this was absolutely no problem and I seemed to eat exactly what everybody else had, indicating great cooking with no reliance...

Room was well fitted out, with en suite, comfortable bed, TV and the usual tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast was excellent: I got the pre-paid option, which included continental buffet, full cooked breakfast, or something from the menu (I took pancakes and an omelette - both excellent!) Price was good for Edinburgh, though the hotel is half an hour's walk from the...

The hotel does not look anything from the outside but we were allocated a room overlooking the garden. The room was a decent size with an en suite shower room and was adequate for what we needed.
