I loved the gorgeous view overlooking the plants in bloom in the breakfast room. It was an easy 20 minute walk to town for...

This beautiful old home is a great boutique hotel. The rooms are a really good size and there are some lovely touches--complimentary wine and chocolates. The reception staff were very helpful and gave us lots of guidance on where to go and what to do.

We stayed here for three nights with my parents this past week, as part of a longer trip to Scotland to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday. In contrast to the rooms at the expensive Airth Castle (see separate review), the Edinburgh Lodge surpassed all our expectations. The staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly, the breakfast was extensive,...

Stayed here for one night during a trip around Scotland. The Edinburgh lodge is in a very good location with easy access to the city centre via bus or walking (takes about 20mins to walk), and also to Edinburgh zoo (5 min drive away). The guest house offers free off road parking, and they will even let you keep your...

I stayed here two nights and everything was great. Very clean and comfortable room. The room was spacious (considering European standards) Very friendly staff, they have an Honesty Bar where you just take what you want and make a note on the notebook in the bar. I highly recommend it.

The Edinburgh Lodge Hotel was one of our favorite places to stay during a two driving tour in Scotland last September. The Lodge is warm and inviting and our room was very comfortable. Camilla is delightful, very friendly, and made us feel right at home. She was very helpful in answering our questions about getting around and things to see....

Stayed in a double room and was very pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and how it was so well appointed. Large bathroom and very comfy bed. The service by the staff and the breakfast was excellent. The location is pretty good with a 5 minute walk to Haymarket station and 15 minutes to Princess St. Parking area...
