During our trip to Scotland this year we again went to Edinburgh and it was just natural that we should stay at Gifford House again. And it surely was no disappointment! As expected we enjoyed the Gifford family's warmth and hospitality. We actually can't say more than we have not already done in our previous review, except that this is...

Stayed here over weekend from Friday 22nd July until Sun 24th July. Room was ready as we arrived at 1pm. Welcomed and shown to the rooms which were lovely and spacious. Beautiful old building with character. Hosts were fantastic. They booked taxis for us and recommended The Dome, a must on George Street. Lovely building and atmosphere with decent priced...

Enjoyed our overnight stay here. Lovely room and bed. Walking distance Edinburgh Castle to Gifford House( approx 30 minutes) We caught a cab up and walked back. Great hosts and delicious breakfast. No off street parking but some parking nearby. Good evening meal at the local pub.

Excellent accommodation with loads of character and super hosts in David and Margaret. Enjoyed the lighter breakfast choice on the menu. The b&b was very convenient for my business trip venue. Good also for a bus as required. A real treat and merits 5 stars.

Stayed for one night in a deluxe King Room on the recommendations of friends and we were not disappointed. At GBP70 It was half the price of our previous Edinburgh B&B in a similar location and was very good. Has the warmth and homeliness of a family run guesthouse and Margaret was truly welcoming. Room was lovely, comfortable and clean...

Stayed with my partner on 27/2 for 1 night. Parked on the side street between the B&b and church. We were welcomed by the male owner who was very friendly and offered advice if we needed it regarding Edinburgh. Room was very spacious great view over Arthur's seat, bedding & decor was lovely and very comfortable. Bathroom was small but...

This is a small guest house located in the Mayfield district of Edinburgh, where I stayed for 2 nights during a recent business trip. My room on the first floor was warm, comfortable, and adequately furnished, with sufficient storage and pleasant décor, also with all expected amenities. Car parking can be a bit tricky at times, due to the location...

Spent two night at this B & B with a friend. It was a lovely clean and warm place which was important as it rained a lot whilst we were in Edinburgh but we were able to get things dry. Very friendly people who gave us access to our room early in the day as we'd come off the night...

Reasonably priced. Lovely friendly family. Room was spotless and bathroom was small but spotless and had everything we needed. Stayed one night then did some travelling and stayed one more night. Fab breakfast. Family really nice and helpful. Would recommend. Bus ride from centre with bus stop almost outside.
