Of all the places we stayed, this was my favorite. The bathroom was very nice and updated, with soft towels, quality soap, and great water pressure. They even had chocolates on the pillows and whiskey! The bed was very comfortable. We were too busy to eat breakfast here, but they were so kind as to pack us a breakfast the...

This was our first experience of Kew House. We had a twin room on the ground floor. The accommodation was spotless and the shower facilities very good. The extra touches just added to our appreciation of the service e.g. provision of fresh flowers on the table, decanter of sherry and chocolates. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was...

Our party of four stayed at Kew House for one night on the last day of a 12 day visit to Scotland and found the location and accommodations to be a perfect finish to our trip. The location is ideally situated for accessing the city center of Edinburgh and, even more important to us, for easily getting to the airport....

We are typing our review as we enjoy kew house's breakfast on the last day of our stay. Ian and Alan have been fantastic hosts, going out of their way to make us feel as comfortable and welcome on our stay. We stayed in a twin room on the ground floor and the room, although small was spotless and very...

We stayed for two nights after reading previous reviews and were not disappointed. Ian and Alan were excellent hosts who were very welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Rooms as previously mentioned are to a high spec, beautifully presented and spotless throughout. Lovely fresh flowers in the room and the sherry and chocolates are...

Travelling worldwide we use tripadvisor to find new places to stay and we picked a winner this time. It's a 15min walk to Princes Street and therefore a great place to stay to visit all the sights in the city. The accomodation cannot be praised enough, it's clean and comfortable and the breakfasts are superb with a wide choice of...

No matter what your standards are in an ideal lodging, Kew House meets them and more. For gourmets, the breakfast is gorgeous (you will read all about it in subsequent reviews - and other review sites). For hygiene "nitpickers", the place is spotless. For extroverts, Ian and Alan are fantastic conversationalists. For introverts, you will also find this place a...

Stayed for one night as in Edinburgh for a function and was delighted with the accomodation.Room was immaculate and pristine with quality toiletries and even a mini sherry decanter. Breakfast choice was excellent and well presented and the owners were very knowledgeable and helpful with advice and directions to local attractions. The location is also good and would have no...

An excellent B&B. Spotlessly clean, well thought out and furnished rooms, brilliant position and a really good breakfast. My only (completely subjective and personal) reservation was that the bed was a bit soft, otherwise 5 star all round.

Out of season this is a great and value for money option in Edinburgh. Had we visited another time, I am sure the service and facilities would be exactly the same, but the cost might then cause me to knock a star off. That said Edinburgh can be quite expensive, especially this close to the centre (only a 15 minute...
