This premier inn was the perfect location for our city break! Central to everything with fab castle views! Staff were friendly and welcoming, breakfast was good although not very hot! The rooms had everything needed for a short break! Will definitely use again!

Stayed here for a couple of nights this week while visiting Edinburgh, the room was a good size, very clean and came with a decent TV and hairdryer etc. The location was ideal, we were able to walk or get public transport to anywhere from the hotel. Didn't eat in the hotel as there are so many nice restaurants nearby...

We stayed in a family room which contained a king size Hypnos bed, a single bed and another single bed that appeared to be a fold out style. On arrival we felt really welcome and the staff couldn't do enough to help us. We arrived early so they checked out bags into the locked bag drop where tags were put...

We chosen this hotel during our stay in Edinburgh not being sure if we will enjoy the rather standard and common type of offered rooms and services. The place was convenient the staff very polite and helpful the room met our expectations! Very good choice for the money paid

Good location, surprisingly good. Little bit of mucking around getting to rooms, but adds to the trip. No view from our room, but hotel does overlook Edinburgh Castle. Very friendly staff and a good restaurant for breakfast. Small rooms, and comfy double bed.

Stayed here for one night, its exactly what you would expect from a premier inn, nothing to exciting! Breakfast was really nice and its smack bang in the city center but i dont think that justifies £118 a night.

Stayed 4 nights over Easter. Room as you would expect from a Premier Inn. Clean with a comfortable bed. We were fortunate to have a room with a fantastic view of the Castle. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. We ate in the restaurant once and the food was good and value for money.

We visited this hotel over 12/13 March 2016..due to work commitments this is the first chance to review. We have visited on several occasions and have found the level of service and comfort consistently good. On this occasion we had a Castle view room..a nice treat. The staff at this hotel are exceptional, nothing is too much trouble and you...

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighbourhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
