The Ardgarth Guest House is a wonderful B&B to stay at. Mrs. Ursula Wright and her staff made it a real joy to stay here. The room and home is well kept and the meals are very well planned and delicious. My wife and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary and they made a special effort to share a memorable...

This was the first time I've ever stayed in a bed and breakfast and it was a wonderful experience. Ursula was a wonderful B&B manager and all-around go-to person for questions from the location of the nearest laundrette to bus information and the best restaurants within walking distance. She was always available to assist with whatever was needed and was...

Ardgarth Guest House is a wonderful and peaceful place to stay. The house is beautifully located near the seaside (walking distance) and does have a perfect bus connection to Edinburgh city center. The interior is classy and absolutely comfy - my father and I felt at home immediately. The rooms are cosy but still arranged in a modern way. Everything...

I'm so glad we picked Ardgarth Guest House for our trip to Edinburgh. An easy bus ride to the heart of town and a very short walk to a beautiful beach. Our room was perfect for us and nice and quiet too. A lovely and helpful hostess and delicious breakfasts. I'd be happy to recommend staying here to anyone.

What a marvelous place to stay! Within minutes of downtown Edinburgh and just a couple blocks from the beach, it was a great location to serve as our hub. Ursula and the staff took very good care of the 5 of us; the breakfasts were phenomenal, the rooms were comfortable and the company was outstanding! We very much enjoyed our...

We stayed 3 nights and couldn't have been happier. Ardgarth is in a perfect location if you don't want to stay in the city. Just a few minutes walk to the beach offers you a different look at Edinburgh. Ursula was a fantastic host, providing us with information on where to eat and how to get around. We didn't have...

Great location, lovely house and a wonderful host! The house was very clean but also exceptionally homely with an antiquated feel and is within throwing distance to the sea and has very easy access to Edinburgh's city centre. Ursula (the owner) was absolutely charming and very helpful. Thanks Ardgarth!

My stepdaughter and her family live in Portobello, a Victorian seaside suburb in Edinburgh. As the children are growing up, there is diminishing space for us so we stay here when visiting - either together or solo. It's quickly becoming a key part of why we enjoy our Scottish trips. Ursula is consistently warm and welcoming, always with something jolly...
