Making sure to always get a more local perspective on what to do in town, I always prefer B and Bs to the impersonal hotels, and Priestville Guest house is definitely no exception! Comfy, large rooms, wonderful breakfasts catered to your needs/wants (speaking to you, veggie heads!), perfect location for a leisurely 5 minute bus ride to Princes Street or...

Beautiful, well kept Victorian building. Plenty of parking on the street. We walked to Arthurs Seat in 15 minutes. Excellent location for bus routes into Edinburgh city centre, with is economical and fast. Salisbury Arms pub up the road on Dalkeith is a fantastic pub with good food. Excellent breakfast, with choices and options. Try the haggis, its a must....

The Priestville Guest House has everything one might need during a short stay in Edinburgh. A clean, comfortable place to sleep, a morning meal, an affable host and it is close to bus routes but also within walking distance of town.

Very good value and handy location. Near to bus stop into town. Parking for a car or two in yard at back but very tight. If you're a nervous driver, park on the street. Excellent breakfasts served by Colin in his kilt! Colin is knowledgeable if you need any info. The house is interesting too.

Location was easy to find, good walking distance to the centre of town and close to several bus stops. We got a wonderful welcoming by Colin: lots of information about the surroundings, and excellent tips for our days in Edinburgh. The guesthouse was warm and cosy, our double en suite was clean, roomy, and fully functional. Room was cleaned (and...

Positives included location to bus service and old town, spacious "family" room, and full breakfast. Negatives: intermittent wifi, bathroom in the hall for 4 people sharing 2 rooms, toilet that would not flush, difficulty communicating with Colin (lacks interpersonal skills), smokey dining room (burned toast). Stayed 4 nights and will not return.

We stayed here for two nights and loved the location. Colin provided a lovely breakfast each morning along with detailed directions to everything we wanted to see. A few things need attention though, the downstairs smells very much like burnt cooking oil and our mattress was VERY uncomfortable. It seems very old and we could feel the springs in our...

We had a great two night stay at this lovely B&B in a great location for a weekend of discovering Edinburgh. The location was perfect, only a 20-30 minute walk into the centre or buses run nearby too. It is also only a 10 minute walk from Holyrood park. Colin and Trina were both very welcoming and friendly and gave...

Colin and Trina were really helpful and kind people, and they have taken really good care of their old and beautiful house. :) Colin gave us some good tips on buses, restaurants and walking routes. Our room was clean and comfortable, perhaps a bit cold during the night. Breakfast was tasty and served by Colin wearing a kilt! The house...

Nice residential area and nice owner. Food was very good. The house itself is a bit outdated. The rooms were nice and clean, but felt a little dark and old due to outdated style. Sharing a bathroom was not bad and the bathroom was always clean.
