Upon arrival the hotel is in a great location, what I would say is that all of the staff were very helpful and friendly and provided excellent customer service. Things we liked - On the first two evenings the food was excellent and served very quickly Friendly staff Fairly clean (average) Large comfortable bed Breakfast was very nice and quality food and good choice, buffet continental and hot food to the table. A nice variety. Things we didn't like - The bathroom had a smell of sewerage in the mornings. The room was quiet dark and not great lighting Smaller TV than other Hilton hotels No windows to open although good air con. On the last evening the food was not up to scratch, the sauce was missing off the chicken and the vegetables were undercooked HOWEVER when we gave this feedback to the reception staff they offered us £30 off of the bill and free room service if we wanted it which we really appreciated.

Hotel's Favourite
Check in was easy and pleasant staff at the desk, infact all staff were pleasant, we had booked a king room with Castle View but upgraded to a Suite at a reasonable price and it was worth it, lovely big room, with seating area, 2 TV's in room (314) beautiful bathroom with separate large walk-in shower. There is no housekeeping with covid restrictions but we didn't mind. We ate at hotel first evening it was just ok, fish very bland and portions small, they do small plates but we had normal sized. Breakfast was good they still have a buffet that is self service but hot food has to be ordered, my only criticism would be they bring the hot food out too quickly so its getting cold if your having cereal etc.. might be worth asking i was caught out both mornings. The hotel is about 10 minutes from Princes Street but a nice stroll to get ghee. Parking is close by at the NCP carpark but ask the hotel for a link pay in advance and its £10 per day instead of £32. We would definitely use this hotel again.

A really good location for everything in Edinburgh. The staff were also great and upgraded us for our honeymoon. The hotel rooms have a great view of the castle, but I would say the rooms were very dark and lacked a bit of brightness. But I guess this would be personal taste.

As a couple, we have just returned from a four night stay at this hotel. It was a lovely place to stay and in a good location with only a ten minute walk to Princess Street. Also within walking distance was a good choice of bars and restaurants. We were given a castle view room but had not previously booked this and this was provided at no extra cost. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything which you would expect from a Hilton Hotel Group room. The staff were all very polite and only too happy to assist in any way. I would certainly return to this hotel when next in Edinburgh. In comparison to other hotels in the area, this is certainly very good value for money.

We stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary Check in was quick & easy, blonde lady on reception was very friendly, nothing too much trouble. Room was clean & very spacious, even had a small fridge in… Breakfast was lovely, loved the haggis. This hotel is great location for princess street, the castle & the old town…great pubs, black bull very friendly.
