We really enjoyed being away from the noise and bustle of downtown and chose to walk the half hour even though the bus is very convenient. The breakfast options were lovely, the staff extremely hospitable and there is a little pub and nice deck outside to sit and enjoy. We will recommend this to our friends.

Dear Reviweee Many Moons of thanks for your Sparkling Review, short and sweet and very petite and hits the spot for me, quiet with a great Breakfast to start the Day and then a healthy walk into Town and when you come back a nice garden and pond to relax bye and sip your glass of Beer or Wine from...

We had an outstanding stay at Hotel Ceilidh-Donia. Host was friendly and wonderful. The location is great in a nice neighborhood which is close to the main bus lines. Lots of cool pubs close. Host did a wonderful job providing information and answering questions. Also, breakfast choices were plentiful and delicious. Room was clean and cozy and we really enjoyed...

This is where Trip advisor ratings can be a bit misleading. The Hotel Ceilidh-Donia is currently rated as the 3rd best HOTEL in the City of Edinburgh. In reality, it is a large suburban guesthouse or Bed & Breakfast. It's high rating may be attributed, largely, to its owners who are extremely obliging and friendly. In addition, it is spotlessly...

Dear Reviewer You seem to misunderstand why Tripadvisor originally came into being, it only rates Guest opinions and experiences and in no way does it pretend to evaluate the qualities or the value for money of any Hotel, Restaurant etc., etc., that is for the Guest to check out from all other available sources before they book. Tripadvisor certainly does...

A local B&B which wasn't far off central Edinburgh, with a helpful staff. They assisted us in all matters from how to get off the bus, to providing us with a take away breakfast, when we had to catch our flight at 6 in the morning. The dog was adorable and the breakfast was tasteful. We would without a doubt...

I've spent my share of nights in hotels and would spend another week at Ceilidh Donia in a heartbeat. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts are excellent. And the location can't be beat for the price.

Dear Reviewee Many Moons of thanks for a Wee Gem of a review, I like to think that there are thousands of words to describe a person’s thoughts after their Holiday and their destination choice but to me the Granddaddy Word of them all is "Value" added to " Money ", so I am well glad that you would come...

Dear Revieweee Many Moons of thanks for a Fabby review, advise is knowledge and knowledge is happiness when you are travelling in a strange City, so H 2 H. Just one night's stay was enough to identify a first: a hotel that had no adverse odour. Time and again the pong of cabbage or chemical cleaner has greeted us but not here. Nicely laid out room which was as individual as us; perhaps the result of a family run place as opposed to the usual McDonald's style chain. Everyone...
