A quiet place, rooms and bathroom where very bright, clean and likeable. The host was very comprehensive, helpful and friendly to us. Location was excellent, about 10 minutes walk to Prince Street and near a lot of bars and restaurants. If I'll go back to Edinburgh - I really hope -, I'll stay here.

Caravel Guest House is a wonderfull little cozy hotel located near the center of the beautiful city of Edinburgh within walking distance of most of the sites in the city. Big rooms with a nice old vibe. Highly recommendable.

We stayed her from Friday to Sunday and were happy with the hotel even though it is a bit old and 'worn out' it was still clean and tidy and we got new towels etc. every day. The breakfast was a continental style breakfast with coffee, tea cereals, toast, juice, fruits, bread, bars etc. so unless you're expecting a full...

The guest house was very old fashioned and cute. Really spacious, clean room with a good sized bathroom. Bedroom also had a big desk and a closet area. Only issue was the room was very hot with heaters that you could not turn off. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was basic but good. Location was good, 15 minute...

We appreciated the calmness of the street, the proximity to the city centre and the tasty breakfasts. The staff vere very polite, helpful and friendly. On the other hand, we had some difficulties locking our room as the door-locks seemed to be a little worn out.

Good location close to restaurants and Edinburgh castle. Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was nice. Room was very tired and there was no soap or shampoo and two towels for three people both days. Our room would not lock properly and despite a promise it would be fixed the next day it was not. Overall satisfactory but...

The location is great, a quiet residential street close to the Portrait Gallery and town, and next to Broughton Street which is full of cafes and restaurants. The place and the bedding was clean (but could do with a good vacuum,) but the bed itself was hard and the deco dated. Continental breakfast was adequate and the staff friendly.

What a friendly staff, they went out of their way to make my stay as rewarding as possible. The breakfast was fresh and had a combination of morning drinks to choose from. I was here from April 30 to May 3, 2016. I would highly recommend you to check out the facilities here. The bed was comfortable and clean.

Clean with updated bathrooms on a quiet street, reasonable walking distance from train stations and the Kings mile if you are European or enjoy 5 K runs. Hard beds marginal breakfast. The good: the neighborhood looked nice and quiet, nice eateries right around the corner, the walk wasn't too bad although it's mostly up hill. Flat screen in each room....

Caravel guest house is as close as you can get to a homely feeling while travelling in a foreign country. The room allotted to us was spacious with high ceilings. Mr Saed the manager was very helpful & tried his best to make your stay pleasant. The choco chip bread served in breakfast every morning was superb.👍🏼 One drawback was...
