I can recommended this hotel if you have low budget and need booking something place for sleeping for couple days. It is far from city center, but there is cool park, it isn't far from the dock. The receptionist is very nice man, with awesome smile and he helps you with everything what you need it.

Before I went I was alarmed by the negative reviews about this hotel. Like Chris said people need to remember that this is a budget hotel & in Edinburgh, where most hotels are very expensive. We were welcomed by one of the staff & during our 3 nights there, all the staff were very helpful. We stayed in the family...

I read quite a few of the reviews here and I feel the need to point something out: I think folks need to take into consideration that they are staying at a budget hotel and that they get what they pay for. By no means what this the best place we've ever stayed and it was not the worst, it...

I booked this room from a website from Australia, myself, sister and my elderly mother and her friends. On arrival the out side of the hotel looked like something out of a horror story, when we went inside the office staff where having an argument with a customer, not a good first impression. The room was discussing, the floor, curtains...

Room was smelly cramped and unventilated. No window (skylight in roof) that could be opened. Bathroom manky beyond belief with very obvious damp and mould. Dining room filthy and depressing - old dried food on all the chairs. Atmosphere of a funeral and everyone miserable especially the staff. Very Overpriced and owned by people who area a disgrace to the...

We stayed 2 nights in August. The hotel had too many guests to cope with, which was reflected in all aspects of the service. The room carpet had not been cleaned - the last guests nail clippings on the floor. Breakfast places were not reset. Crockery, cutlery not provided even after breakfast was served - we had to go round...

Solo size 16 female 2 night stay in August. Room clean bed child size turn over land on floor. Ensuite adequate but dont drop anything in shower no room to bend to pick up. Full Scottish breakfast stone cold. Disgraceful people can charge so much for so little just because in Edinburgh and the fringe is on. Felt embarassed to...

If your happy with cheap and cheerful this is it. Helpful staff. Excellent for access to town via bus. Eady walking distance to Ocean centre and local resturants. Could do with floor towel/mat. May need a fan if weather stays warm.
