Stayed here for a night out with friends. Decent sized room with a double bed and single bed. Staff were very friendly and the location was perfect for heading into central Edinburgh. Would recommend for anyone going for a night out in Edinburgh!

This Hotel (if you dare call it a Hotel) is of a very poor standard and overpriced. My room was cold no spare blankets. Stairs to my room were very steep and no lift as I am 64 years old this was a climb for me. My room was of a poor standard quite clean but could have been better....

This hotel was the worst we have stayed in and how it continues to trade as a hotel is a mystery, clearly it is never inspected. Room 36 has plaster coming from ceiling in bathroom, thermostat on shower not working.! Handrail on steep flight of stairs broken. Rooms freezing. Dreadful place.

Room nice enough, paid £8 per day for breakfast...said on website free breakfast. My daughter and husband decided not to eat breakfast despite the fact I had paid for it so they made quite a bit of extra money out of us.

We booked this hotel for the price really. It was fine, the room was warm and clean. The bathroom was clean and looked new, and the shower was very warm which was great after a long day outside in the cold! The room was lacking in any kind of decoration and was decidedly brown. The mattress was quite hard and...

This place is only to be booked as a last resort. All the other B'n'Bs on this street look really inviting compared to this one. It was cheaper than the others but a few pounds more would be money well-spent. Gloomy lobby, shabby, and feels as though the rooms upstairs are servants' quarters. Our room was small however the bed...

Do not book into this "hotel". The place is a shambles! Awful customer service, dirty rooms, towels damp, no accessible mirror, unsafe kettle and plug sockets and a jammed door which is an obvious fire hazard. Do not stay here
