If all you need is somewhere to sleep on a short stay then you will not beat this hotel for value for money. It could not be in a handier position for ALL amenities. It is a 5 minute walk from the train station. I will be back later this year.

The Antonine is definitely not your average hotel. It's a labyrinth of long halls and clanging lifts.....but in its' own way, it's charming and most assuredly a wonderful bargain. In truth, we almost didn't book it because of its extremely low cost -- but don't be swayed, it's a fine and unique place to spend a night or two, while... More

My office booked me in here for a business trip and having read some of the reviews i disagree with them. My room was clean and tidy with flat screen tv for £30 per night?? Excellent value and yes there is a walk to the rooms but it is a big hotel only one very small point parking

We recently had our daughters engagement party in the function suite at the hotel,on the outside this looks like a nice venue to hold your function but not is all as it seems. The bar facility in the suite is nothing short of shocking,we had around 150 people attending the function which they were made aware of. We arrived at... More

Hotel in good location, walking distance for town and pubs. Friends booked two twin rooms. Friend got their room ok. After getting the key for the other twin room, went to room to discover it was a double room. Told reception, got another room which was a single room. Got a 3rd room which was a twin room only to... I did not expect the world, for the price, but there is room for improvement. Reading other reviews, before writing this, I maybe expected worse on arrival. However, reviews are a guide only and you need to make up your own mind. For example, some said décor was poor and I suspect that the "new" looking carpet, extensively covering the... More

Excellent value for money! Clean comfortable room, staff very friendly and helpful, will definitely be back when in the area, rooms far enough away from the bar and main road for a quiet night sleep. Great Central location to town and amenities too!

Stayed here in June as the Travelodge was full. We booked in as two couples. Only one night to suffer the place, Thank God !!! Only positive was the friendly receptionist when booking in, but alas not one person to be found anywhere that night or the following morning. No food available, just the suggestion that we should have breakfast... More
