St Andrews is a must-visit destination: from being a Scottish setting for Royal romance, to its famous West Sands beach which was immortalized in the Oscar-winning movie Chariots of Fire, it's Cathedral, aquarium and boutiques. Oh, and did we mention golf? Rusacks St Andrews is within a sand wedge of the 18th hole of the world-famous Old Course. Stylishly remodeled on a golfing theme, Rusacks St Andrews offers luxurious accommodation occupied by some of the great names in the game's history. Unquestionably Scotland's greatest golfing hotel, we even have a dedicated Golf Concierge so you won't miss a thing.
The Bridge is a family-friendly dining experience, with views over the infamous St Andrews' Swilcan Bridge and the Old Course. Enjoy a range of British and European dishes here. Eighteen is a destination rooftop restaurant and bar with unrivalled views across St Andrews' Old Course and West Sands Beach.
This hotel is located against the backdrop of the 18th hole on the Old St. Andrews course. The hotel is lovely and the staff are fist class. The rooms are spacious, luxurious, and very comfortable. The restaurants have great service and good food. The hotel is close to the beach, the cathedral ruins and withing walking distance of many pubs and other venues in St. Andrews. We had a very pleasant experience and would happily stay there again.
We stayed at Rusacks for one night as part of a guys trip to Scotland. The location is unbeatable, right at the 18th hole of the Old Course. The service was second to none. Dinner at 18 was our best meal of the entire week, with amazing food, views and service. Unfortunately, I was given room 11, which is located down a short hall behind the check in area. It was difficult to get into the room as the door handle kept getting stuck. The bathroom had no lock. The entire room was quite small. To be fair, I did not see any of the other rooms, but in my opinion, this room should not be for guests in a hotel the stature of Rusacks.
The Rusacks Hotel always had amazing views because of its unique position and so I used to stay at it when visiting St Andrews pricipally because of its position. However, the recent upgrades have transformed the hotel and so I would now chose to stay there just for the sheer quality of the offering. The extension is a substantial improvement both in terms of the number of rooms but also the high quality of its facilities. The staff are universally friendly and helpful. Its now a thoroughly well modernised yet still traditional hotel.
We stayed three nights at Rusacks St Andrews, and -- WOW! The hotel exceeded all of our expectations. The interior design is beautiful, the new guestrooms, amazing dining experiences including the menu and view from 18, and of course the attentive staff. By the end of our stay, everyone knew our names and greeted us as friends. The proximity to The Old Course is second to none - a must-stay for any golf lover! My favorite spot in the hotel is The Gallery, where morning coffee, tea and pastries are served complimentary until mid-morning. A great spot to relax and get some work done! Be sure to meet and chat with General Manager Seamus Coen and his dog, Bubbles! Staying at Rusacks was an absolute delight - we will definitely be back.
Everything was excellent. The room was so comfy and inviting. The breakfast room and food were lovely. The rooftop bar so beautiful. Hotel manager took care of the one issue we had with professionalism and went the extra mile to serve us. We’ll be back!
