The best compliment we can pay Fairways is to say that it felt like a real home from home. This was due entirely to the efforts of Yvonne, our hostess. As well as being friendly and chatty she prepared and served wonderful breakfasts. She also provided us with really good information about what to see and do locally. We highly recommend Fairways for a stay and hope to return there in the near future.

Fantastic place to stay, rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. Ideally located for city centre. Plenty of parking just around the corner. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Sandra was very friendly and helpful. Will stay again

Beautiful wee place to stay. Absolutely immaculate & has everything you need. Sandra is so lovely, making you feel very welcome & friendly. Nothing is a problem from the start of your booking right through until you leave. We will definitely be back & would like to thank you for a very relaxing stay, which was much needed.

We stayed here for 3 nights and could not fault this place. Our spacious room was spotless and the extra personal touches made all the difference. Our hostess, Sandra, provided us with a wonderful start to each day. Her witty conversation and delicious breakfast was really something to look forward to. We particularly enjoyed listening to stories from other guests, as we all sat together in the mornings. Sandra and Owen's local knowledge on visitor attractions, local shopping and, of course, the golf courses was invaluable. The location is fantastic and there are many bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. We would not hesitate to recommend Fairways and in fact, have already done so. We will definitely be back!

If you want an insanely delicious Scottish full breakfast with the most friendly and fun hostess ever, this is your spot. Sandra is an awesome cook and she has a natural talent for including all guests in a lively breakfast conversation. When you meet her, you sort of feel like you’ve just met a long lost friend! She gave us wonderful recommendations for St. Andrews as well as for the rest of our trip. Location is top notch - you are walkable to anything in the town and a stone’s throw from the Old Course. Sandra and Owen, thank you for such a lovely stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a very nice room; much larger than we expected and well acquainted. The bed was not the most comfortable and it felt a little dated BUT that was all made up for in location and, of course, the amazing host, Sandra. It is literally steps away from the Old Course which my fiance thoroughly enjoyed. Sandra is a dream and was so lovely. She cooked us delicious breakfasts every morning, was lively and welcoming, and gave us great recommendations for restaurants. We were sad to hear that they will not be staying open and look forward to seeing wherever Sandra goes as she was a highlight of our trip to Scotland.

Spent 3 nights here! We were delighted by the overall standard of the accommodation; very clean and nice touches. We had a small balcony, which was nice to sit out in with a chilled glass of wine. Thank you Sandra who looked after us at breakfast, a lovely lady who had lots of good local information and tips. Our breakfasts were cooked to order and were delicious. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again!!

Nice place with lots of attention to detail in the room. Great mattress for a good nights kip. Icing on the cake was the host Sandra who was such a lovely person. Fastest 30 minute breakfast of my life with her like minded conversation. Highly recommended.

We have been travelling to st Andrews a couple of times a year for the last 2 years and although either places we have stayed have been fine this is the place where I have felt most at home . Tucked in above a shop you wouldn’t give it a second glance ( thank goodness ) . But when we entered room three on the top floor it certainly had the wow factor . Comfy bed and lovely linen . A very tasty balcony where I could sit at the end of the day in the sunshine . Our daughter had room 2 which was also exceptional. Now where do you start with the effervescent Sandra who manages the place . Her delightful humour and chat in the morning whilst cooking breakfast is the tiny tiny kitchen was great and I felt that I had made a new friend by the time we had left . She was constantly in touch regarding check in and for any other advice and problems ( of which there were none ) I would rather not recommend this place as I now want it all to myself but I feel as if I should give it an excellent review . Definitely will be back
