The best compliment we can pay Fairways is to say that it felt like a real home from home. This was due entirely to the efforts of Yvonne, our hostess. As well as being friendly and chatty she prepared and served wonderful breakfasts. She also provided us with really good information about what to see and do locally.
We highly recommend Fairways for a stay and hope to return there in the near future.

Beautiful wee place to stay. Absolutely immaculate & has everything you need. Sandra is so lovely, making you feel very welcome & friendly. Nothing is a problem from the start of your booking right through until you leave. We will definitely be back & would like to thank you for a very relaxing stay, which was much needed.

Fantastic place to stay, rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. Ideally located for city centre. Plenty of parking just around the corner. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Sandra was very friendly and helpful. Will stay again

Had a lovely stay in St Andrew's - we had the king room at the top of the house which was spacious and beautifully decorated and even had a view of the old course. Great location for walking to dinner, the shops, or the university/Abby.
My only small complaint is the breakfast room is tiny with your host cooking three feet from the table. Just a bit too intimate for our liking; however many people wouldn't bat an eye at it. Overall, it was a comfortable and very very clean B&B and our host was lovely to chat with.

I couldn't get into my usual St. Andrews accommodation and found The Fairways. Boy am I glad I did! I couldn't have asked for more. From the perfect room to the incredible service (thank you Sandra and Owen) The Fairways was a 100% homerun. If you're looking for service, location and five star accommodation, this is your place.

It was absolutely lovely to be welcomed as warmly as I was...after traveling in from the US all day, a smiling face and cheery welcome were perfect. The room was comfortable and nicely sized for me. Sandra makes excellent breakfasts to order and was great fun to talk with over breakfast. The location is great for whatever you're looking to do in St Andrews. I'd be very happy to stay here again in my future visits!

Booked as a last minute over night with my partner and we really enjoyed our stay. The prices are very reasonable for bed & breakfast and the rooms were lovely. Sandra made our breakfast in the morning which tasted fantastic and she was also a very lovely woman who made you feel so welcome! I would definitely return here on my next visit to St Andrews,

We have stayed in St. Andrews numerous times over the past 20 years in a guest house that was sold just prior to our trip at the beginning of October (and no longer run as a guest house). Needless to say, my husband and I were not looking forward to trying a new accommodation. However, when we saw the link to the Fairways and read the description, we thought that it seemed like the perfect place for our 5-night stay, and it absolutely was! We booked the premier room on the top floor with the balcony that has a view of the Links. The room is every bit as lovely as the online pictures...very spacious, beautifully decorated, well appointed (super bathroom), comfortable, and immaculate. The free wi-fi and flat screen tv were very much appreciated. (We don't just look for a place to sleep when we book a hotel as we always spend some time in our room.)
I would be remiss if I did not mention Sandra Browne who took such wonderful care of us during our stay at the Fairways. Sandra epitomized hospitality, warmth, grace, and friendship, and her "full Scottish breakfasts" were delicious. It was like staying in a friend's house.
While we were not playing golf, the Fairways is literally just steps away from the Old Course, and easy walking distance to the center of town with restaurants and shops. St. Andrews has so much to offer for a lovely holiday stay (not just golf). We are not sure if our journeys will lead us back to St. Andrews but if they do, we will book the Fairways first and then our airline (definitely in that order)!

Just returned from another fantastic holiday at Fairways. Brilliant hosts who run a first class guest house,superbly aided by Angie the housekeeper who goes out of her way to make you feel at home. Spotless rooms with cosy atmosphere. So good we booked in already for 2016. Don't miss this place like an albatross on the course A RARE DELIGHT

Besides a great location,and very nicely appointed rooms the personal attention from the owners was beyond expectations. This B&B is relatively new - and looks it. Everything is clean and neat. And the decor is really nice. Hugh is a golfer and can give plenty of insight into the local courses. Jane laid a really nice breakfast with plenty of choices. But beyond this Jane and Hugh really took a personal interest in us and wanted to be sure our stay is delightful. Would go out of my way to stay there again.
