As a child I visited St Andrews with my parents during school holidays and now return frequently with my own family. We have stayed in several guest houses, with varying degrees of satisfaction, but upon finding Hoppity House a few years ago we discovered an absolute gem! A friendly welcome awaits, Gordon, Heather and Valerie strive to make your stay...

Everything about my 2 separate stays at the Hoppity House in January and February 2015 were wonderful. My daughter is attending university at St. Andrews, so I was there to see her off. The location, value, accommodations, breakfasts and service were top-notch. Val, the host, was delightful and made my stays very comfortable and memorable. I would recommend the Hoppity House...

My husband and I visited St. Andrews in early November. We were in town to see our daughter who was studying at the university for a semester. We feel fortunate to have stayed at Hoppity House, which totally enhanced our Scottish experience. The hospitality provided by Val was truly over the top: she could not have been more welcoming and...

Work takes me to St Andrews regularly and I always stay at Hoppity House - it's a great place to stay - close to the old course and the centre of town; clean, comfy rooms; great breakfasts and, of course, the friendliest of friendly people. Excellent.

The double room we stayed in was spectacular, the whole place had been refurbished, which meant that everything was...

Small, charming guesthouse. Gordon is extremely welcoming and helpful. Nice looking and very clean rooms, good breakfast, great sleep quality. Sometimes might be a bit noisy due to a lot of students in town. Great location, good wi-fi. Everything just fine! Highly recommended.
