We had an excellent time in the pub. Live music and wonderful food. However the room was a big disappointment. The bed was rock hard and the pillows were too. I had to use my travel pillow as the ones on the bed were hurting my face they were so hard.

Looking forward to a return visit September 2017. Will post an updated review afterward. This pub with rooms is perfectly situated for visiting Glasgow off the busy streets. The staff were incredibly nice to a couple of crazy Americans. The breakfast is perfect for us...tea, toast & jam. Parking is not an issue, since we always turn in our rental...

Dropped in for a quick lunch. Special was a curried fish pie which was nice if sightly unusual. Enjoyed it. Pleanty of traditional pub food if you prefer. Pub was a bit quiet but would go back when the live entertainment is on or evening/weekend. Staff were very attentive and friendly .

Met a friend for a beer and food one evening. The beer is excellent and well kept. The venison pie was awesome; possibly the best I've ever had. Great atmosphere and excellent service at a very fair price. You'd be crazy not to visit.

Fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Live music with some amazing gypsy jazz musicians and singers. An open fire. Cullen Skink. And a loaded gantry! Just off the main shopping areas this pub is a well kept secret. I almost wasn't going to tell you about it.....

Babbity Bowster is my favorite pub anywhere. Their accommodations are pretty basic, but clean with comfortable beds. The only problem is a lack of electrical outlets - we had to unplug a lamp to charge things. Reasonable rates include tea/coffee and toast in the morning plus parking. The location is relatively quiet (the only real noise is generated by pub...

If you want a no frills en-suite room in the city centre then this is definitely the place to go. There is no TV but that isn't what you go to Glasgow for. The place is clean and tidy with a comfy bed. In the morning you get tea/coffee and toast. You can even park your car in the pub...

Scotland's 5th worst issue is poor bread and after not being here for 10 years it was unfortunate that this wonderful old Glasgow institution has not learned this lesson. Nice beer and ambiance. But the barman didn't ask me why I had only eaten a corner of the tired, sliced bread. That's Scotland's first worst issue. Customer service. The beer...

Celtic beat rangers, we hadn't watched the football, and were not interested, but a little wary. This place was perfect, no TVs, no music whilst we were there, and a formidable land lady declining to serve potentially 'loud' customers. The food was simple, but authentic, and tasty with a great selection of whisky to round off a pleasant evening. It...
