This property is located near Glasgow Cathedral and Necropolis, High Street, Merchant’s Square (restaurants), and Market Square. Check in is at the bar. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A great sense of humor is displayed on signs and the hotel welcome letter. The restaurant/bar have a buzzing scene and offer numerous wines by the glass. There is no elevator and the way up to guest rooms is up narrow staircase.

Very small room and bathroom, barely room to walk around beds (we had twin) but fairly inexpensive.

6 rooms on 3rd fl (2nd fl in UK)
No amenities other than hand soap (no shower cap, shampoo, liquid soap in shower)
Very slow internet
Free cold breakfast - fresh berries, Greek yogurt, banana/kiwi/tangerine, croissants, toast, granola, butter, ham, ok, cranberry juice, coffee, tea. Bloody Mary (advertised but dn order), 10£ for hot breakfast.
Room 4, no extra key. We accidentally took it, called at 1:00 to return so room could be cleaned b4 next guests at 2:30. (We were at Burrell Collection).

Came here with some friends, staff were great and attentive. We all agreed the food was amazing 2 of us ordered a pizza. This was cooked and served from an area of the beer garden visable to customers which was a great touch. After months of frozen pizza I can definitely say they did not disappoint! It was cooked to perfection with plenty of flavour. Although it would be nice to see a wider range of toppings. It was an overall great experience. I will definitely be returning!

I have visited this lovely Merchant City pub over the years and always loved it, especially on Saturday afternoon when the musicians are playing. It is a really great atmosphere. The pub has a great range of ales and wines and are great value. The outside area has been vastly improved under new management.
We had a family get together in the private function room upstairs at the weekend. The food was really excellent and I can highly recommend the steak pie and the Cajun chicken. Oh and the Cullen Skink is pretty special. The management and staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly and helped make the day one to remember. I would thoroughly recommend particularly if you are visiting the City.

The hotel is ideally placed for a visit to Glasgow, and being in the Merchant City it could not be any more convenient for exploring the pubs, restaurants and shops in the city centre. The rooms are located on the top floor so you don’t hear a thing from the very busy pub on the bottom floor. The room was big enough, tastefully decorated, warm and spotlessly clean. The bathroom too was spotlessly clean. The continental breakfast was generous and had a good selection on offer. I thought the price of £95 was very competitive and represented good value for money. I found the staff to be welcoming and friendly. I would definitely book a room there again.

Stayed here on a Sunday night for the Gerry Cinnamon gig at Hampden. Firstly I have to commend every single member of staff we encountered. Friendly, welcoming and helpful. The bar the accommodation sits above had an excellent vibe from what we saw of it. The room (2) was modern and perfect for what we needed. Had tea and coffee making facilties and a fan which was much needed in the high temps at the moment. Also requested iron and ironing board which was no problem. Breakfast was excellent for continental. We didn’t realise a cooked breakfast was an option (our fault) so if your looking for this you’ll pay a bit more and need to request it in advance. Great location just a 10 min walk from Queen Street station. Highly recommend it and would definitely stay again next time we’re in Glasgow. Big thanks to all the staff, you really make this place and get it a 5/5 review from us.

A really great little hotel (More a pub with rooms really but still great)
The staff were all very helpful, cheery and efficient.
The rooms are a good size with everything you need and the free parking is an absolute godsend in Glasgow city centre!
The location is fantastic with a wealth of bars and restaurants on the doorstep and the main shopping is just a 10 minute walk away.
I didn't eat in the bar but the menu looked very comprehensive and well priced. I did drink a few ales in the bar and they were all very good and well kept.
I stayed Monday and Tuesday nights but even so the bar was busy, the atmosphere was excellent with a steady flow of customers and a friendly feeling all round.
Would definitely recommend and i will certainly stay again when I'm in Glasgow.

Stayed here for one night as was attending a Simple Minds concert in the city.
Rooms very nice and bathrooms modern. Nice complimentary continental breakfast included in room rate and also the option of a cooked breakfast at additional cost.
Pub downstairs is great with an excellent selection of drinks and very friendly staff.
Would recommend and would stay again

Absolutely can't fault the place.
The welcome was relaxed, warm and friendly. The place is quirky, modern, stylish and clean as a whistle.
The rooms are cosy and have everything you could need, plenty of plug sockets and USB ports and numerous different lighting options, light dimmer etc for a relaxing feel.
The hotel has a bar/dining downstairs and I was lucky enough be befriended for a drink by some of the locals including Charlie and Mcdougal who gave me some tips on places to visit.
The bar staff are hapoy and helpful at all times.

The bed was so damn comfy I struggled to leave it, but when I did I found that exploring from the hotel was easy as its so close to everything. Lots of food places nearby too although the hotel has a delicious menu too.

Thanks to all you friendly Scots for welcoming me! I will be back.

I stayed for 2 nights recently and as a solo traveller from the minute I walked in, I felt totally welcome. My suitcase was carried up to the 2nd floor (no lift if one were required incidentally). There is a security code to get to the hallway that the bedrooms are on, so very safe. My room whilst not large had everything I needed, although bring your own shampoo, cotton wool etc. Bed extremely comfy. Great shower. Breakfast (continental) was exceptionally good (wonderful coffee). The amazing staff made this hotel perfect for me, plus the fact it was so central (about 8 minutes from Queen Street station). I'd certainly stay again!

Four of us ate here with two courses for £17 which is great value. All the meals were well cooked, presented and good portion sizes. The food was all piping hot and very tasty. Great service also well worth eating here. The bar area could do with being a bit warmer but has an open fire. A bar which was a bit run down certainly has a new lease of life and has been refurbished well.
