Number 10 Hotel offers an energetic ambiance that some guests find vibrant due to events and music, though others appreciate the elegant rooms and warm environment. While service quality seems inconsistent, with reports of both disorganization and commendable staff attentiveness, the amenities generally receive positive remarks for their variety and convenience. Room opinions are mixed; cleanliness is a strong suit, but noise and maintenance issues are noted by some. As for value, guests are divided, with meal pricing seen as reasonable by some, yet others question the overall worth.

We booked at the last minute for three nights early August but only stayed two due to the uncomfortable bed. To be fair I do have a bone/back problem and I just couldn’t cope with how firm it was, however, a firm bed will suit many.
The staff were lovely and tried their best by giving me an extra duvet to lie on but to no avail.
Our room was a small double which overlooked the street which was quite noisy with passing traffic, however, we had the window open due to the warm weather so might be slightly improved when closed. The room itself was very clean and the bathroom was immaculate with a brand new shower curtain.
Our stay was just before the Scottish release of covid rules and because we were staying less than four days our room was not going to be cleaned, nor was any breakfasts to be served, neither of which bothered us. Our towels could be refreshed by putting them in a black sack and fresh would be left outside the door along with replacement tea, coffee etc.
Now for the positive, lovely hotel which has had a lot of investment recently. Very clean, all staff working both indoors and outdoors were friendly and helpful. Beer garden is large, well planned to suit the eye as well as practical for our UK weather, having covered areas as well as open to the elements, relaxing with background music playing too
We didn’t eat at the Hotel so cannot comment, however, the restaurant looked nice.
The Hotel only holds three cars, one of which belonged to the Manager but you can park on the Main Street as well as the side street.
The hotel overlooks a park, and if you walk through you will come to Queens Park too.
If you want to get to the train station, turn left out of the hotel gate, immediate left up the side street and the station is at the top, only minutes away. It was £2.10 return to go three stops in the middle of Glasgow which saves the stress of car parking etc.would I stay again? Yes if they invest in some bed toppers 🙂

Fiona and I stayed in Number 10 on a recent Sunday night as a stopover in our journey to Wemyss Bay. Whilst many of the rooms had undergone refurbishment, our room had not, but it was perfectly serviceable, clean, spacious and very comfortable – the room was in a townhouse immediately adjacent to the main hotel, and within the hotel grounds. We chose to eat in the Number 10 restaurant where our Bruschetta, Feather Blade of Beef, Crispy Battered Haddock and Sticky Toffee Pudding (with a sneaky portion of vanilla ice-cream) were perfectly cooked and presented, and served by courteous and chatty staff; prices were great value for money and quality. Though the hotel car park was not in use, the staff kindly offered us a parking spot within the hotel grounds. From our room view, we also noted that the hotel has numerous outdoor facilities for eating and drinking, but we were unable to take advantage of them due to the timing of our arrival and departure. Our overall experience was excellent, great value for money, and we would do it again.

A beautiful (Georgian?) hotel in lovely grounds. We were upgraded and our room was large and airy with an en suite bathroom the size of most other hotel rooms. Elegantly furnished with delightful views of the park over the road. Great personal service from friendly staff who obviously love their jobs. Restaurant is great, meal was delicious, Thomas the restaurant manager a laugh a minute Scottish wag, highly professional and hard working (could have done with another member of staff waiting on/bar/wise but they coped)

Terrific value for money all round.

Wee booked the table under the Gazebo for a friend's post lockdown birthday celebrations. The staff were nothing but friendly and accommodating throughout. They made such a fuss over my friend who's birthday it was and we never went long without being offered more drinks.
The food was lovely and the cocktails too! A dangerous wee bargain at 4 for £20.
The beer garden was stunning and we all felt safe being served my masked staff who you could see were cleaning the toilets regularly.
This was my first time at hotel no 10 but will definitely be back.

So we went to ask for prices for rooms etc , the receptionist said to us the bar is open to public and you can go in. whilst I was watiing for my friend who went to toilet , the manager came out and said this is private bar and made it clear we were not welcome !!! This is really bad as you’re getting conflicting information and also they advertise afternoon teas for public but get told something else . I felt very unwelcome from the manager maybe there was more to it !!!!! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone , particularly if you don’t fit in !!! They need to train staff on the manners , facts about the hotel and the information they advocate customers ! I have a recording and will post this on media !

On arrival, I had to manage more stairs than I expected as the walkway was blocked by the owners Maserati. I was offered a room on the first floor but I asked for a ground floor room because of my disability. The room I was eventually offered was next door in number 12. For a disabled person, it was Ideal, although to get to it I was taken through a function room where a funeral tea was taking place. I don't think the people were too impressed as I was escorted through the room but this was the only way to number 12 without me having to manage stairs (yet again) and be outside in the terrible weather for too long. It was less than I expected as it cold on arrival and was not as well lit or clean as I would have liked. As a visitor to Glasgow, I found the staff delightful and amusing when I was addressed as 'pal'. Supper was excellent value for the small price paid. I cannot comment on breakfast as I did not make it to the restaurant due to the inclement weather, slippy walkway. No room service was provided as I would have expected from a four-star hotel. I found it difficult to access the main building because of slippy walkways. Towels hung on the towel rail became wet as the towel rail is situated in the line of the shower in the wetroom. Towel rail and shower room were in need of repair. Toileteries - only soap was provided and shower gel were provided. It was pointed out to me that the hotel does not advertise itself as disabled-friendly, which is a great shame as in many ways it could be.

Everything about our stay was 5star.
We were greeted by a lovely lady at check in and lucky enough to stay in the honeymoon suite which is exquisite in the nearby townhouse.
Everything was spotless with clear thought into the rooms look and functionality
The covid regulations made us feel very safe.

Brunch with table service in the restaurant had a good choice. I had the full Scottish of course and the staff were very helpful and polite.
I would definitely stay here again and if I lived closer would visit for food and use of the beer garden.
Brilliant independent business worthy of support.

I booked a 'Classic Double Room' which states it's located in the main building of the hotel, with the pictures on their site indicating it's a fairly decent room. But neither of these were true.

In actual fact, I was issued a twin room, located in a separate building to the main hotel. This room is not pictured on their site – and for good reason; it is significantly worse than their most basic room have listed and of course guests would not book this room. It certainly was not the Classic Double I had booked in this instance, and have had experience staying in previously.

Not only that, due to a complete lack of wayfinding, it took 30 minutes to find the room, in the dark, located in what can only be described as the cleaning quarters of the hotel. The room itself was in a fairly disgusting state – grubby carpets, basic facilities, and more akin to a hostel than a 4* hotel describing its facilities as 'luxury'.

Furthermore, the expectation that a lone female would be allocated this room – in an unsecured, dark and separate part of the hotel – is quite frankly a disgrace. Luckily, thanks to Covid in this instance, I had given the room to my brother to use and am mortified that this was the experience, but relieved I did not have to stay here.

Finally, their sales and events manager I dealt with to make my complaints was absolutely shocking – having never seen the room herself she claimed it had been an upgrade. A total insult to claim that this was an upgrade when the room was worse than those listed on their site, and not even pictured anywhere as a result. Easy to be fooled into staying at this hotel but please don't be fooled into taking any 'upgrade' from them.

We stayed on a Saturday night whilst attending a friends birthday close by. Booked an executive room and was pleased with the size of the suite with a separate sitting room. Could do with an upgrade of the furniture as it seems to a mixture of styles. As we were near the door of the separate building we were worried about noise with other guests coming in. No worries there, a great nights sleep. The breakfast was very good although the juices and toast required topping up quite regularly. Tasty breakfast served by a pleasant staff member rounded of our stay. Would stay again if in the area.

Simple hotel, but everything it does, it does well.
The rooms are well furnished with high Victorian cellings.
The beds and linen are very comfortable, in the bathroom there is a generous supply of hot water and towels
At the bedside there are USB charging sockets.
The in house menu is simple balanced and when the food arrived it was just right.

Breakfast!! top marks for the cooked breakfast.
