Just spent 5 nights at this welcoming and no frills hotel. A very quiet location just a few minutes from Byres Road. Breakfast served in room bang on time is a really nice feature. The rooms are dated but for the price paid no more could be expected. Proprietor and chambermaid are really nice. An excellent base for a few...

Stayed here 2 nights end of Jan 2015 and so disappointed. Wish I had taken heed of the negative reviews, which were actually all spot on. This is NOT a hotel. It is a very poor B&B at best and hugely over-priced. The rooms are small with the worst furniture I have seen - EVERYTHING creeks, the bed, the floor,...

This review is completely unreasonable. Although I did not have the pleaseure of meeting this reviewer I did meet her partner on several instances. He was happy and cheerful on all occasions and did not indicate any problems or concerns even at check-out. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the centre of the West End, as can be...

I stayed here 1 night whilst my daughter was in hospital. The room was comfortable but a little dated. Breakfast which was brought up to my room was excellent and there was plenty of tea and coffee available. If you ran out there was more in the very comfortable guest sitting room. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It...

We arrived at the Kirklee pm on 04/10/14 when Rosemary gave us a lovely welcome and after showing us to our room overlooking the park left us knowing that if we needed anything all we had to do was ask, we had a wonderful cooked breakfast in our room every morning on the dot(thank you Clare for your sterling service)...

Glasgow was our first destination in Scotland. Kirklee is a beautiful, old style hotel in a quaint, residential neighbourhood in Glasgow. Quiet, soft, colourful little place. The building is actually a part of an old complex of similar looking buildings. They are all old, huge houses technically. The place has a ground floor 'lobby' (a place where you would walk...

This was a comfortable small hotel in a quiet area in the West End of Glasgow, with some good restaurants within walking distance. It was nice and warm and cosy, with excellent breakfasts and a residents lounge with lots of books to read. The decor was in keeping with the age of the house, which was built in 1902. Only...

We chose this hotel because of its location and it was the second time we stayed here. It has a balance of keeping the historic feel to the building with providing facilities that makes you feel welcome & comfortable. It does not have the most modern decoration but if it were too modern it would take away the cosiness &...

This guest house is located in a lovely part of Glasgow. On entering the property you couldnt help but be impressed by the grandeur, lovely traditional Scottish tartan carpets and dark wood panel walls. Our room was large and had a lovely comfy bed although the decor was quite tired and in desperate need of an upgrade, the bathroom was...

We chose this hotel because our son lived nearby. We had a nice room with very comfortable beds. Our hosts were friendly and when we had a problem with transport Douglas sorted it out for us. Breakfast was always hot and served on time. Just felt the bathroom could do with an upgrade. We would stay there again.

The owners and their staff are friendly, helpful and warm. Room was cosy and big, very historic and wonderful, though our bathroom was very small. Tall or big people might find it difficult. Breakfast in the room was good and always on time, coffee, tea making faclities, free working wifi, the location is great, free parking in front of the...
