We went to Amy McDonald in the old fruit market and stayed in this hotel while it was basic and the rooms a bit out dated or just funky in decoration the staff especially the young girl at reception was just lovely and so welcoming as the bar staff food very good staff lovely perfect location for getting around the... We stayed in 2 what is called compact rooms. Never again. You could hardly walk around the bed. When I went around the bed to close curtains banged my head on the TV and I fell onto the bed. The bed was almost on the floor. There is no way 2 people could stay in this room. Some staff were... More

A small alternative to some of the bigger chains at this price point. Attached to a bustling pub and in the Merchant City, it has the potential to be a little noisy but on this visit it was very peaceful indeed with no noise from within or without. The room is very small but has everything needed to enjoy a... More

The hotel itself is very tired, the room was reasonably clean, but the room needs a thorough refreshing. The room was a mismatch of worn DIY quick fixes and repairs, chipped paint, unfinished tiling, fraying bed, wobbly headboard, broken skirting board and a very leaky (but good) shower. However great location and fantastic bar attached to hotel. Staff really friendly

Friendly staff and great location for this hotel. The facilities won't blow you away, but for what you're paying they are great. Well worth a stay if you're out in town. The beds are comfy and the rooms are quiet.

The bedroom and common parts are grubby, tired and sad with a generally unpleasant smell. Poor to non existent management, an evident lack of maitenance and some staff that have an indifferent attitude resulted in a terrible stay. Forget going to bed before midnight as the drumming music from the ground floor cafe bar doesn't stop until then. After that... More

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, bed linen was clean, towels were plentiful and clean. That is all the good points covered. This is a dirty smelly shabby establishment, for £65 I didn't expect much and was not disappointed. The room had very low cat swinging potential, a bed is all you get. Worst of all is the toilet/...
