We were lucky enough to book this hotel at a reasonable price for our visit to Glasgow to see the rugby. A lot of hotels we looked at had really increased their prices when the games were on and ones we had stayed at before were way over the top! We found the Kelvin hotel on a website and were... More

I spent 4 nights in this a hotel in July I did not have hot water in the shower. My room was in the lower level and smelt damp. I could not turn the heater on. Wifi connection was really bad. I do not recommend this hotel.

£150.00 per night without breakfast. Clean. Washbasin only, toilet and shower along corridor. Exceptionally small room looking out onto underneath of entrance staircase. Double bed against wall. Hostel facilities at big hotel prices.

Ok the positives - excellent location, friendly staff and nice breakfast - cooked, cereal, bread, yogurt, cheese and fruit! The room was tiny and dated - £100 a night for this room is disappointing! I guess you can do this though when Commonwealth Games are on! Reading other reviews I suspect you could get this room at other times for... More

We stayed here in a family room for 3nights during the commonwealth games. Yes it was expensive for what it is but it was the games. The normal prices make it an excellent hotel for the cost. The family room and bathroom were big with plenary of space for us all. Be warned though on the 3rd floor and no... More

We needed somewhere to stay last minute as were going to the commonwealth games. This hotel is basic, but clean and functional providing all that we wanted as we just wanted somewhere to sleep and have a shower in the morning. Parking was an issue - it is limited to a handful of spaces and despite receiving 2 emails confirming... More

The hotel was Clean, fresh with a large bedroom. excellent staff. Definitely worth a stay. A short taxi ride to the city centre costing no more than £7. With so much to see and do. I will definitely be returning.

The apartment attached to the hotel is very, very disappointing in spite of all the good very misleading reviews. The decor is very dated with heavy staining on the lounge rug and sofas. The kitchen equipment is poor with no dishwasher or washing machine. The washing up brush bristles faced every way except the correct one it was so old. The... More

The Kevin Hotel was a pleasure to stay at. The staff and management were more than accommodating with our circumstances and really helped our visit be a memorable one. The features of the hotel provide it with extra character. The price of the rooms, the handy location and the quality of service given were all excellent.

You have to share bathrooms when living on this hotel. No information about that in the booking details. It just says its a standardroom. Nice breakfast, with full english breakfast. Very noisy from the traffic and cold rooms. Nice hostess.
