It's hard to imagine a more convenient spot than the Premier Inn Hotel Glasgow City Centre South. You're just up the road from two of Scotland's biggest football teams. And, if you don't get your kicks on the pitch, you'll find all the nightlife, city centre attractions and businesses just a saunter away. See 'The Beautiful Game' at Celtic Park or Ibrox. Or people watch and window-shop your way along Argyle Street. Make great music your goal at the Hydro, then come back and kick off your shoes and relax with some fabulous food at our restaurant. Then take a dive into a lovely comfy bed.

Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI

The Premier Inn Glasgow City Centre South hotel garners appreciation for its prime location and overall cleanliness, with guests highlighting the pristine conditions and comfort of the rooms. However, the atmosphere suggests a need for renovation, as the decor appears tired. Guests have had mixed experiences with the service, encountering both warm staff and disappointments in service speed. While the value proposition divides opinion due to extra costs and food quality, some guests feel certain deals and parking rates are reasonable. Amenities are satisfactory, though issues with breakfast availability and parking have been noted.

Room clean, bed comfy. Conveniently located just a short walk from Glasgow Cross, close to Merchant City and very handy if attending a gig at the Barrowlands. Breakfast nice.

If you wanted to sightsee your just a short walk from the People's Palace.

Just over the river from the city centre and 5 minutes walk from the lovely People's Park this hotel is well situated for a visit to Glasgow. Parking is available outside the hotel (£6 to guests - scan the ticket given by reception to avoid being charged a lot more after checking out) and the rooms clean and spacious. The bed was firm and very comfortable and there was no noise overnight from either inside or outside the hotel. The staff were friendly and the overall cost extremely good value, with a great choice of unlimited food and hot drinks from cooked menu together with continental breakfast for only £9, and served at table with a smile.

We regularly stay at this hotel due to it's ideal location for Glasgow's music venues, shops and access to the motorway. Onsite car parking is extremely convenient. Rooms are perfect with walk-in showers. Totally recommended for any length of stay.

This is my 3rd visit to this hotel, we checked in on Monday and were advised the keycards didn’t work but should be fixed by the next day. Friday when we checked out the keycards still didn’t work, the staff had to let everyone in their rooms and in the front door which was a pain for customers and staff. The staff were brilliant with this situation. Due to COVID-19 restrictions table booking for a family of 4 was difficult, we booked a table at 9am one morning and genuinely felt we were causing the staff hassle by asking for things that should have been brought to our table. Obviously due to COVID-19 the hotel has had to change the way it works to comply with current regulations, the staff are all having to work differently and in my opinion the majority are doing a super job!
This hotel has onsite car park at a charge of £6 a day, it’s walking distance to the town centre.

This hotel is a prime location for us as it is only about 15 mins drive away from our daughters house and is ideal for the city centre.
We have visited many times and always receive a warm welcome from the staff, especially the ones who remember us.
We always get a clean room and if there is anything else we need, the staff are always very helpful.

This hotel is a perfect location if you are visiting the east side of the city centre; although other parts are easily accessible by bus or taxi. And a less expensive alternative to hotels nearer to the bigger concert venues (SECC).
There are plenty of car parking spaces, and the £6.50 overnight charge is nothing compared to other car parks close by.
We had a peaceful and restful night after a busy day on a course and dinner out. The breakfast (at extra cost) was fresh and there was plenty of choice. Good value for money.
We had a couple of issues that were resolved very quickly by Mark. His reactions were efficient and professional. All of the staff were courteous, helpful, and friendly.

Premier Inn, you get what you pay for! We stayed here for the weekend. We stayed in a room that was separated from the main hotel, the room was spacious and clean, and most importantly, the bed was extremely comfy. The bathroom consisted of a bath and overhead shower, which makes a refreshing change to just a shower. We opted for the pre-booked all you can eat breakfast, plenty of choice, couple of issues the cooked food wasn't hot only slightly warm maybe that was down to the time we went down also the toaster was out of order, which made things a little harder.. The staff did offer toast things and microwave pancakes, but some of the staff made you feel like you were putting them out... I dont think this was any fault of their own, I just think the place was understaffed. Staying that the reception staff were very accommodating and the restaurant staff the previous night when we ate couldn't do enough, again service was a little slow but again I think this was more to higher demand than the staffing levels.. Great place for us, easy access to and from the city, 10/15 mins walk from Glasgow Central Station. 10 Mins in a taxi to Celtic Park, easy access to Glasgow Airport! The only issue we found parking! This is chargeable at £6 per night if you get the voucher from the hotel reception. Although there are disabled spots, there needs to be closer to the doors. Please note that blue badge holders still need to pay for parking! We will most likely return when we are back up this way. Hopefully, they will have sorted the staffing issues out by then and upgraded the toasters.

The rooms, staff and location are fine but there remains a problem with car park litter and discarded cigarette butts as you walk to the entrance. It is the same when you walk to the City. As you cross the bridge both outside the Mosque and Court house the pavements and shrubbery are full of litter which seems not to have been touched for ages. Not a welcoming sight as you cross into Clyde.

Very pleasant stay once again. Staff are very friendly and serve with a smile. We got the room we had requested from a previous visit which was excellent, and was very clean and bed comfortable as usual with a Smart TV which allowed us to steam YouTube rather than being stuck when freeview during our time in the room.

Had a brief rude awakening at 4am on our 1st night due to other guests but overall didn't ruin our stay and will be returning again.

Prices are very good value for money and hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre which is ideal.

It depends what you want a view of. There are no real views, except that of the Mosque next door. This would mean it might be busy during Ramadan. However, we were on the 2nd floor and the sunset was so amazing that my daughter got excellent photos of the sunset.
