The Alexander Thomson Hotel, is situated around the corner, from the Glasgow Central Station. About 3 minute walk to the Hotel. The Hotel has a lovely dining room and the rooms are tidy and clean. The hotel staff are helpful and there is a lift to all floors. The hotel is central and within walking distance, of what the City...

Stayed here on 14th January when visiting Glasgow for a birthday night out. The staff were pleasant. The rooms were a bit dated but spotlessly clean. Bottled water was appreciated. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was ok on the whole but the bacon was delicious. Given the reasonable cost paid for this hotel our expectations were met. Would consider staying again.

Check in very rude with a male receptionist who clearly does not like his job . Parking is an issue as to be expected with city...

We stayed in this hotel from December 28 to January 3. The hotel was fine. We were comfortable. The bed was firm. The room was clean. It was just a bit difficult to close the window. Also, no view. The breakfast was great. There was a good selection of food. Typical English breakfast. We really liked their bacon.

We've stayed at the Alexander Thomson a few times and it gets better with each visit. In terms of location it's about 5 minutes walk from Central station and shops, eateries, bars and pubs. If you're a fan of Weatherspoon's there's one a couple of hundred yards away. The hotel itself is an old building with some lovely original features...

We stayed two nights. Hotel is dirty and dated. Carpet in the room was filthy. Beds were old and uncomfortable. Staff were not very friendly or helpful. Breakfast buffet was average. Would not recommend this hotel.
