We have stayed in this hotel before as we visit family nearby, it was never the Ritz but it was clean and did the job for an overnight. Used to get a decent cooked breakfast too.

Slow service - long wait between starter an main course although restaurant not busy. Food very poor and overcooked. Advised waitress of problem but no action taken. We will not be back ....
Went for a breakfast and it didn’t taste very good. It left a bad taste all day. Toast came 5 minutes after breakfast was served. It’s just not a clean place. It’s a shame because this place has so much potential.

I don't recollect any shops within 300metres, checking Google maps would be a good idea. There is a Chinese Takeaway, Cathkin Inn and Kings - all about 0.5 miles away in different directions. There are more at Rutherglen... More
