Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favourite
No hesitation at giving the Fraser Suites a five star review. Our stay was split between two rooms. Two nights in a deluxe apartment and three nights in an executive apartment. The deluxe was nice but the executive was really special and if you're considering a stay its worth the upgrade. Comfortable, spacious, quiet and modern. We faced the road but had no issues at all with noise from the street. Location was perfect. Steps away from good restaurants, pubs and the wonderful Tron theatre. What really made the stay so enjoyable was the staff. They say that People make Glasgow and they are a shining example of this. Nothing too much trouble and always ready with a smile when we returned from our travels. Already planning a return visit.

We stayed for one night and had Andrew welcome us on arrival, he had already spoken to my partner and was extremely accommodating, arranging for us to check in earlier as our room was ready and ensuring all guidlines were adhered to in terms of distancing and sanitisation. We later spoke to alec who was also very welcoming. The location is right next to the merchant square and not far from buchanan street so ideal for shops, bars and restaurants. The accommodation was nice and lived up to expectations however the staff made the experience for us.

Pleasant and ladies were exceptional

There is no air conditioning in the room, although a portable heater/ air con is provided.
The room does have windows that open, and childs lock built into the window that can be pushed to open the windows further.

Good city location
Location / Nearby:

We booked the suite for the weekend as we had a gig to go to nearby. Upon arrival receptionist was welcoming and place seems modern and clean. We went to our suite which although a little dated, seemed ok. However the cleaning was sadly disappointing, the carpets had not been cleaned properly so we flagged it up to the receptionist who promised to get it sorted asap. We went out for a couple of hours to allow them to do so only to find on our return that it had not been done! We informed the receptionist again who did apologise and gave us free breakfast by way of compensation (the cleaners never came and vacuumed at all whilst we were there) however it did impact on our weekend as I felt I couldn't be barefoot in the room. Also there are no sockets near a mirror which made drying hair very difficult. This room could have been perfect if only for a couple of negatives.

Just opposite the Trongate, the Fraser Suites are ideally placed for all my needs and represent excellent value. I had a large room with a kitchenette area and a separate bathroom with shower. Looking out onto a multi-storey car park, I had no view but was happy to not be overlooking the busy street. Through the tall old windows there was some wind noise during Storm Ciara but nothing to disturb my sleep in a very comfortable bed, and even being near the lifts wasn’t a problem, which pleasantly surprised me. Very picky people can always find fault, but for the money I thought it was the perfect home-from-home.

A colleague of mine recomended the Fraser Suites and on reviewing the website I was impressed. Prior to arrival I received a phone call welcoming me to Glasgow but on arrival staff were curt and cold, which was rather surprising.
I appreciate this is in the city centre so I do expect some level of noise but I got a room with a view of the car park. I was busy weekend but as I was rudely awoken by next door on the Monday due to the walls being terrible thin and the bins being emptied at 06.30 am. I had a long drive ahead so wasn't very rested.
I would avoid room 415 as there is also a large extraction pipe outside the room which has a level of constant noise so you are unable to open the windows on an evening. It just happened to be great weather this weekend but still.
Cleanliness wasn't the best, fridge seemed tired and warm, and the curtains in the room, just disgusting with loss of black out liner. Picture included.
For me, the website looks impressive but in reality the rooms are not up to standard as mine was tired and staff were so cold and did not give me the opportunity to provide feedback.
The rooms on the website do you reflect your stay so I would not return. I will not be returning to the Fraser Suites

I have stayed in the Fraser Suites in Glasgow many times and it is my favourite place to stay in Glasgow. The staff are always discreet and professional. The apartment style rooms are large and comfortable with a great central location in the city centre. Thanks again for another great stay.

The room itself was really nice, had everything you could need in the kitchenette. The rooms were very clean but could do with some TLC. Unfortunately there was a really bad draft from our window in the bedroom and the room was freezing. There are radiators but they didn’t warm up the room well. L’Occitane toiletries but the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel seemed to be topped up with water so were pretty useless. We had a lot of issues with noise. From one side we heard bottles being emptied in to bins early in the morning / late at night. Our room was on the third floor, on the street below was a bar with live music which was pretty loud but understandable for weekend nights. Lots of issues with noise from the street outside in the early hours of the morning but this isn’t the hotels fault, just put a dampener on our stay. The staff were really nice and very professional.

Good location, and lovely one bedroom apartment. The kitchen facilities were fantastic. Bed was comfy. On our stay, it was explained to us that the room would not be cleaned throughout our stay, which was slightly disappointing, but it was explained we could request towels and more toilet roll. Apartment clean. Would stay again

After staying in a mediocre Fraser Suites in Edinburgh, we were dreading checking into the Fraser Suites Glasgow - but we were pleasantly surprised! Our room was ready early, when we got there at 1:00pm. The lobby was nice and the staff were friendly. And unlike in Edinburgh, we got a true suite, with a bathroom off the hallway, a full, large living space with a dining table, small kitchen with a hob, microwave, kettle, pots/pans, dishes, coffee maker, sponge, and soap for cleaning up, and a good size bedroom with large windows, a desk/chair, luggage rack, and wardrobe. We wanted to have the option to cook when were were in Glasgow because of my husband's digestive issues, and we took advantage of the kitchen and all its supplies, and that was really nice. I will never understand why hotels have black carpeting, it shows *every*thing, so that was unpleasant. And the couch looked like something a college student would have on their front porch... it dipped so far down in the middle that it was almost unusable. The bathroom was small but clean, with excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. The woman in the lobby at check in said she gave us a room in the "green zone," meaning that it would not have a lot of traffic noise, but that was not true. I heard cars, and loud music coming out of cars, all night long. That being said, the overall experience in the room was a good one.
The location was nice, it was easy to walk to from the Queen Street train station, and easy to get to George Square and hop on a bus. It was walking distance to shopping, Glasgow Cathedral, the Necropolis, the Tennent's Brewery (go there!), as well as restaurants/pubs, and the subway. We were only in Glasgow one night, which is too bad, I would have liked to have seen more of it. I liked staying here, but if I had more time in Glasgow, I now know I would have preferred to stay in the West End, which had way more stuff going on. This neighborhood felt touristy and a little dead.

Hi Thank you for your review of your recent stay. I was pleased to read you were happy with the property, size of your suite and all amenities. I do appreciate your comments relating to the sofa. We're currently in the process of replacing all sofas in the suites and we're sorry that hadn't happened in the suite you were allocated. As we're in the heart of the Merchant City, it can on occasion be louder than we would like for some guests, and we always try and accommodate quieter rooms whenever possible. Once again, thank you for taking the time to leave your recent review.
