Or if you're just majoring on the fun, you'll find plenty of that too, with tourist attractions and sports facilities that rank as some of the nation's best. Set sail for some great football action at Celtic Park or Ibrox. Or take a different tack and spend the day at a convention at the SECC. Drop anchor at the Hydro to hear a band or catch a show. Then come back to the original port of call, with a lovely tasty meal at our restaurant, and a great night's sleep in a comfy bed.

The room was very comfy and the staff were helpful and friendly. The food next door was amazing and breakfast was excellent. I had no trouble during my stay. The kids on my group were very well looked after, especially the youngest ones. Everything was made so much easier after a stressful journey.

Visited Saturday, after show in Glasgow SSE Arena. Hotel is only 10 mins drive from city centre. Free parking right outside. Adjacent "pub" Orion is part of hotel and where you get your breakfast. Rooms are first class, fresh, clean Spick and span. Just what you want, all the basics, even a bottle opener (for beer not wine), included. Shower didn't have adjustable height but it's head does swivel. I made the mistake of not checking when I switched it on and showered the bathroom. Large double bed was comfortable and Windows do open. No air con but this is Glasgow! What more do you want for a bargain price.
Orion meal was typical pub fare but a varied menu to suit most ( evening). Unfortunately I was disappointed that a "pub" had no decent beer even the chain brews were missing. Wines reasonably priced for an average drink, not plonk.
Breakfast, typically hotel. But the "full" is by order and you are served, so expect to wait. Worth it though not been standing on a counter. The usual cereals, breads, juices etc are there if you look hard. It seemed a little quaint. The toaster was traditional pop-up but the adjustment was guesswork.
Arrival, driving there be careful you have to negotiate a couple of junctions of the motorway very quickly, it is situated basically on the edge of a retail park but it's quiet at night and the hotel entrance is to the right, the left of the drive in KFC. Plenty of free parking, go around the back.
The hotel is yards from the M74 so expect a constant drone of traffic though it didn't disturb us.
It looks as though in summer there is an outside beer garden at the pub.

It was lovely great for the family and loads of space for the kids to play whilst in the hotel. We ate in the hotel and it was great as we only paid for adults and the kids ate free. I asked for a few things from reception and they were very helpful

We have used this hotel previously but had a large party on this trip, one of which required an accessible room. On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. All the rooms were located next to each other for our party and the accessible room was very spacious with an excellent en suite wet room which included grab rails and a seat for the shower.
Tea/coffee/milk was located in the main reception area if we needed any extra and the staff were very helpful in providing us with local information and taxis etc.
The only small niggle was there was no air con in the rooms, only heating. Despite opening the window and having a fan on all night the rooms were still very warm.

I stayed here with my husband, 13 year old and 5 year old for 3 nights this weekend.

We were greeted with a warm and welcoming receptionist, who was incredibly helpful. Our room was spotless, infact the entire hotel was spotless. We were worried that the noise from being right next to the motorway would stop us being able to sleep but the noise cancelling screens definitely helped with this, living in the country noise is something we do struggle with at nights when not at home but it wasn't an issue at all.

We originally booked for only 2 nights but on the 2nd day decided to add an extra night on, this was no problem at all and within 10 minutes it was all sorted. On our final night the humidity was incredibly high meaning our room was like a sticky oven, we asked at the desk if it was possible to get a second fan, no promises were made but about 15 minutes after asking a 2nd fan was in our room and what a difference it made especially for my 5 year old who was straight off to sleep once the room cooled down. I cannot express how greatful we were of this.

I would like to make a special mention to Amy, she is the most kind hearted, helpful young lady I have ever met. Her customer service skills are above and beyond and she really is a credit to this hotel. Not knowing the area at all she went out of her way to make sure we knew where we were going when we went out and had the most friendly smile on her face every time we seen her, so much so my 5 year old was over the moon when she seen Amy was working when we went for breakfast on our last morning and wouldnt leave without giving her a cuddle. All members of staff were amazing but Amy really went above and beyond.

The only negative I could find from our entire stay was with the restaurant, it is clearly understaffed, the notice looking for staff does indicate that they know this and are trying there hardest to resolve this, but every meal time we were waiting a long time to have orders taken/received, one night we actually had our food come out before drinks which is the first time I have ever had this happen before, if it wasn't for this issue our stay would have been perfect, I really hope this is something that gets resolved soon. However it most certainly hasn't put us off staying again and we have infact booked to stay again next month and can't wait to go back.

Our stay was more pleasant than we maybe expected.

Firstly it was easy to find and very handy for getting to and from Tollcross. Free parking was good, and plenty of spaces.

Reception staff were friendly and
extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble, whether it was fresh towels, or topping up other items needed.

Comfortable room and, despite a busy location, very little noise.

We had dinner in the hotel on 3 occasions. For easiness. Good varied menu and drinks and good value. Service was good despite restaurant being busy at times. Staff were under pressure but kept smiling and did their best. There's also KFC and McDonalds right outside for fast food.

Hotel met our requirements and was good value. We would stay here again if going to Tollcross. It's just so handy.

This was our second visit to this particular Premier Inn in a week as we were travelling home after a week in Scotland. Our experience couldn’t have been more different to that of last week. As always, the staff on reception were lovely and helpful but on this occasion there was very little they could do to help. We were allocated a family room on the ground floor no. 35 and it was sweltering! The outside temperature on this particular day was 17 and raining. Inside, at its coolest it was 26.5! After checking in, I complained at how hot it was and we were supplied with a bucket of ice and told to place it in front of the fan which was already in the room. I explained that it was so hot that my 2 year old and 7 year old were completely naked lying on the bed, trying to get to sleep but couldn’t. If we had known the area better, we would have packed up and tried to find somewhere else to say. No exaggeration, you couldn’t breathe. The girl said she would also get me a jug of water and walked to the room with me. Even she couldn’t believe how hot it was and said she would contact Maintenance. Nothing came of that. After 45 minutes the plastic bucket of ice had melted so I went back for more. When I returned to the room, we propped the door open to try and let some cool air in from the hallway but it didn’t work. I stayed awake until the boys fell asleep which involved me wrapping ice cubes in flannels we had packed. My husband had very little sleep as did I, we both had headaches the morning after and were very tired to start our 240 mile journey home after the 100 miles we had done the day before. The girl on reception urged us to call the complaints line which we did when we got home but this did nothing at all. I explained our issue and to cut a long story short she said that as the hotel is offered without air con and we willingly booked it (I said the outside temp didn’t warrant the use of air con and all rooms in this hotel don’t have this issue as we stayed in room 6 last week when it was 32 degrees outside and cool inside?!), she suggested I book somewhere with air con next time, that the hotel had tried to assist by providing buckets of ice to cool down (I said is this what she would expect from a hotel - she didn’t reply), and that a small desk top fan had been provided (clearly only circulates the warm air) She said that it didn’t qualify for a refund on their good nights sleep guarantee. I asked why not and she said section 12 of their policy says it doesn’t cover room temp for disrupting sleep due to weather. I said the room temp wasn’t due to weather as it was cool outside and she put the phone down on me. I was very polite throughout and she did say it would be noted but that response was just not good enough especially when a staff member at the hotel told us since the extension was built some rooms do get very hot! Shocking customer service.

For a room that is £97 pound a night it certainly needs a face-lift. I would suggest this room was worth £55 a night at best . Repairs need done . The hotel also could be with a bit more care to attention with customers it's clear that keeping costs low is a big priority.

Hey there is no lift as this is an older Premier Inn, our room had a shower over the bath. There are a few rooms on the ground floor but didn't look to be many
